Disney World has seen plenty of changes recently, and it looks like these adjustments will continue into the holiday season.
We’re gearing up for the holiday season at Disney World and our anticipation is through the roof! One of our favorite holiday traditions at the resort is the Candlelight Processional at EPCOT, which has its own history of change. Originating at Disneyland, a version of the Candlelight Processional made its way to Disney World in 1971 before finding its current EPCOT home in 1994, where it has become a Disney holiday staple. In its 30th year at the park, the Candlelight Processional is once again making a change.
According to an official Disney announcement, EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional is featuring new showtimes in 2024.
Last year, we saw showtimes at 5:15PM, 7PM, and 8:30PM, but the adjusted showtimes this year are now 5PM, 6:45PM, and 8:15PM, per Disney, moving the event slightly up in time. Please keep these new times in mind when planning your vacation.
The Candlelight Processional will take place from November 29th to December 30th, 2024 at EPCOT’s America Gardens Theatre and feature “the stirring story of Christmas retold by a celebrity narrator and massed choir—accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra, herald trumpets and the Voices of Liberty.” The official list of narrators for this year’s Candlelight Processional is as follows:
- Nov. 29th & 30th: Josh Gad
- Dec. 1st & 2nd: Nico Santos
- Dec. 3rd through the 5th: Chrissy Metz
- Dec. 6th & 7th: Whoopi Goldberg
- Dec. 8th through the 10th: Tituss Burgess
- Dec. 11th & 12th: Brendan Fraser
- Dec. 13th & 14th: Ralph Macchio
- Dec. 15th & 16th: Gary Sinise
- Dec. 17th & 18th: Neil Patrick Harris
- Dec. 19th through the 21st: Pat Sajak
- Dec. 22nd & 23rd: Gloria Estefan
- Dec. 24th through the 26th: Edward James Olmos
- Dec. 27th & 28th: Sterling K. Brown
- Dec. 29th & 30th: Jodi Benson
The popular Christmas event will once again offer dining packages at 15 eateries, “ranging from character dining at Chip ‘N’ Dale’s Harvest Feast at Garden Grill Restaurant in The Land pavilion to dining at Le Cellier Steakhouse in the Canada pavilion,” according to Disney. If you’re looking to book these dining packages, the reservation window opens on October 29th. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
