Hey there! Wanna hear a Disney World hotel secret?
Alright, gather ’round, because I’m about to spill the…chutney? I’m sure you’ve heard the hype about Sanaa over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and let’s be real — it’s 100% deserved. Now, the star of the show isn’t one of the main entrees or the desserts (even though they’re all delish). No, the true MVP is the Indian-style bread service (iykyk). I bring all that up to say that the secret I’m about to drop on you is the kind of secret that might have you never going to Sanaa again! Are you ready? Once you hear it, you can’t un-hear it. Let’s go!
As I was saying, the bread service at Sanaa is top-tier. It comes with five types of naan and NINE accompaniments ranging from a mild cucumber raita to a fiery chili sambal that’ll make your taste buds do a happy dance.
But if you’ve always thought you needed a dining reservation to get your fix, think again. You don’t actually have to eat in Sanaa’s main dining room to enjoy this glorious carb fest. You can just stroll into the Sanaa Lounge (no reservation needed) and order the bread service there.
Let that sink in.
Why This Changes EVERYTHING
So, picture this: You’ve planned a whirlwind Disney trip, and you forgot to make reservations, or maybe you just don’t feel like committing to a full sit-down meal after a long day at the parks, but then you remember this hack. All you’ve got to do is swing by the laid-back Sanaa Lounge, grab a seat, and BOOM. You’re diving into naan heaven without the stress of snagging a coveted table in the restaurant.
The vibe in the lounge is super chill compared to the dining room. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, sip on a cocktail, and savor the bread service at your own pace.
Plus, the lounge menu has other small bites if you’re feeling peckish, so it’s a win-win.
The Secret Might Not Stay Secret for Long…
Now, here’s the thing: not everyone knows this little trick. For years, Sanaa’s bread service has been a low-key Disney must-do, which means most people automatically think “reservation required.” But the fact that you can get the exact same experience in the lounge is such a game changer.
The only downside (if you can call it that) is that the more people catch on, the lounge might start getting just as busy as the main dining area. So, do with this information what you will.
So, what do you think? Will you be heading to the Sanaa Lounge to try this out? Let us know in the comments below.

It looks absolutely amazing!

I just did this on my most recent trip to WDW. In fact I went to the Lounge while the restaurant was closed on the afternoon I arrived. While the lounge doesn’t sell any of it’s other small bites when the kitchen is closed, you can get the bread service! So if you need an afternoon snack or a late lunch/early dinner, you can get the bread service at the lounge! Since Kidani doesn’t have a counter service restaurant this means you can get some food in the afternoon. And they will package it to go if you want to take it back to your room or out to one of the overlooks to watch the aninals as you nosh.

Not only can you get it in the lounge, but you can do a mobile order for it and pick it up to enjoy in your room. My daughter & I did that when we stayed at Jambo house in February. We each ordered a bread service & had it for dinner in our room.

Too bad you told all this secret! Always knew but now upcoming trip may be a problem getting what we have always known! Oh well…

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary at Sanaa. The bread was delicious. We did eat in the dining area. Not overcrowded. We actually were seated before our actual reservation time. Also, our server gave us a dessert to share. Shaped like a dinosaur egg. No extra cost.

This would be awesome if they offered the full menu there. The bread service is totally a must do. But, We love the butter chicken, but you can’t get it at the lounge, so I guess we still need a reservation. Our server at Sanaa last time was so unattentive. We only saw him once the whole night. I had to flag down a different server to get a drink because our server never came back to our table after taking our order. The food was brought by runners, and that was it. The table next to us had a fantastic server who went by several times, so I asked if she could send our waiter over so I could order another drink, and she just brought me one herself. I made sure I tipped her along with our server. I love the food at Sanaa, but it would sure be nice to be able to get it without the hassle of the restaurant.

Unfortunately, I won’t get my DVC discount in the lounge so we’ll have to stick to the restaurant for the bread service.
Beth M says
NENolan, when I ordered through the app for pickup at Sanaa my AP discount was applied. I am also DVC but since the AP discount is 20% it comes off. I’m not sure if the DVC discount will show up in the app, but it would be worth a try!
