So what makes us super excited about Orlando International Airport?
If you’ve flown to the Orlando International Airport, you might have noticed that the food options in Terminal C are AMAZING (we’re talking Chef Art Smith’s Sunshine Diner AND Wine Bar George). However, most of us fly out of the other terminals and let’s just say — the food options are a little more limited. Well, we’ve got some great news about that — eight new restaurants are coming to the airport soon!
According to The Orlando Business Journal, eight local restaurants are coming to the airport soon! The Greater Orlando Airport Authority has approved a first wave of new restaurants and shops through new concessions agreements. These agreements include more than 40 restaurants and stores! So let’s just say the airport is about to go through some BIG changes!
Some of the restaurants will be national chains, but eight Orlando local restaurants are also coming to the airport. Here’s the full list of new restaurants:
- Stasio’s Italian Deli
- Smoke & Donuts
- Kelly’s Ice Cream
- SoDough Detroit Pizza
- Milkhouse
- Jam-Eng Caribbean and English Cuisine
- 4 Rivers Smokehouse
- Otto’s High Dive
So when can we expect to dine at these new spots? Designs and renovations of the restaurants and stores are expected to start in mid-2025. So it might be a little while before you’ll be able to grab food there, but it’s exciting knowing what’s coming, right?
The airport also approved a $13 million project to offer real-time status updates for its parking spaces. That work is also expected to start in mid-2025 and be completed in 2027.
The airport even just recently updated its branding and its app, so be sure to check that out, too. Let’s just say things are getting exciting for the airport.
