If you are reading this post while hungry, BE WARNED. Seriously, we’re not joking! You’re willing to keep reading? Okay, well then — we’ve got some DELICIOUS details to share with you!
We’re live at the 2025 EPCOT Festival of the Arts, checking out the food studios, artistic performances, merchandise, and more. There’s a LOT going on, but don’t let it overwhelm you. We’re here to tell you everything you need to know before your visit. Let’s go to L’Art de la Cuisine Francaise to try some new snacks and a bunch of returning drinks!
Menu
Over at the L’Art de la Cuisine Francaise, you’ll find a variety of French-inspired menu items (including the AH-MAZING cheese in a bread bowl) and some dazzlingly pretty cocktails.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
First up, we grabbed a new item to the booth this year, the Pithiviers de Canard et Volaille, Sauce Canard for $9.95. This is a Puff pastry with duck, chicken, onions, mushrooms, cranberries, and duck sauce.
We were seriously surprised by this one. Our reporter who tried it doesn’t even particularly like duck — she thinks it’s too rich and doesn’t really love the flavor. But this thing is nothing like what it seems, and that’s because a lot of the meat is actually chicken. So it’s a lot of duck and chicken mixed together, which we think balances out the flavors of both. It elevates the chicken a bit and tones down the fattiness of the duck.
The cranberries make it taste a little bit like a holiday dish, and what we were particularly impressed by was the gravy and the quality of the puff pastry, which even after like sitting and in this kind of unique shape, didn’t have any chewy bits. It was all very light and soft, really, really spectacular, and something we would get again.
Next, a returning classic and one of our top picks from this booth for several years in a row! Yup, it’s the delish Crème de Brie en Petit Pain for $9.95.
This is a warm creamy brie in a house-made bread bowl. Every year we’ve had it, it’s wowed us. It’s melted cheese in a bowl made of bread, so….there’s not a lot to complain about here (unless you hate or are allergic to cheese)! This dish is creamy, the cheese is soft and smooth, and the bread is nice and warm. This is a heartwarming, cozy (yet elevated!) snack that we will recommend over and over again.
This one another one that we see year after year after year, and that’s because it is delicious creamy melty brie in a bread bowl, and there just isn’t anything that can go wrong with that. The bread is a little tough, but who cares? It’s a little tiny creamy bread bowl of brie. It’s delicious and we’re sorry to all the lactose intolerant people who are going to be trying this anyway after reading this review.
Ready for dessert? Because we are! And no, we don’t mean getting another bread bowl (but if you do, we won’t judge because cheese is life!). It’s time for the Escargot en Chocolat for $9.25. This is described as Chocolate mousse flourless cake, citrus coulis, almond-chocolate coating, and dark chocolate decoration.
First of all, this might be the cutest dessert we’ve ever seen. When we got it, everyone around us was talking about it because it sounded like it was chocolate snails, but it was not. There are no snails in this — it is just a chocolate-shaped snail. The flavor of this is kind of like if you mixed the outside coating of a Ferrero Rocher with one of those chocolate oranges you get at Christmas time. It is so light and perfectly chocolatey and nutty, with a nice citrus flavor tying it all together. This is one of the best festival desserts we’ve ever had, even though we do resent him for his head falling off while we were trying to take pretty pictures of him.
What are we drinking at this booth?!
Drinks
When it comes to the drinks, we’ll start things off with the returning Frozen French Martini. This is a returning drink made of Grey Goose Vodka, Chambord liqueur, pineapple, orange, and grape juices with a lemon-lime foam. It’s priced at $15.25.
We loved this cocktail last year. The drink was slightly sweet and wonderfully refreshing — a great pick during a hot Florida day! It tasted like a grown-up Sweet Tart, in drink form. It wasn’t overly sweet and has a nice, fruity flavor that gives this drink candy vibes (in a GOOD way). Do we love it just as much this year too?
This is another staple at the Festival of the Arts. It tastes like Sweet Tarts, but it’s not overly sweet. It’s one of those drinks that everybody tends to like, so there’s a reason it keeps coming back year after year. We love the kind of balance of the tarter, fruitier flavors, and the sweetness of the drink. Plus, it comes in a fun martini glass.
Next up, we grabbed the Elderflower Liqueur Cocktail. This was a newbie to the festival last we, and we’re excited to see it returning! It is made with St. Germain Liqueur, sparkling wine, and mint for $13.25. This one was VERY strong! Really, all we could taste was the champagne and St. Germain Liqueur, so we’re curious to see how this year’s version holds up!
The Elderflower Spritz wasn’t really anything to write home about to us this year. If you’re just drinking wine around the festival and you want to spice it up, sure, but it’s Saint Germain and sparkling wine. It’s refreshing but there are much better drinks to get at this festival!
Should you stop at the France booth this year?
OVERALL
This booth is definitely a contender for our Best of the Fest list this year and that chocolate snail is in the running for the Best Dessert. The puff pastry with duck and chicken was rich in the best way and the flavors complemented each other so well. There’s literally no way you could ever go wrong with the brie in a bread bowl, and the French Frozen Martini is a classic. All in all, this booth is a hit again this year!
