Something strange is happening on the My Disney Experience app, and it has been ongoing for two days.
When you look on the Disney World app, you can usually see Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass prices for up to 21 days out. It’s a great way to plan your budget for your upcoming trips if you plan to purchase any of these passes. However, over the past couple of days, the app has been having some technical difficulties.
On both January 19th and January 20th, we went onto the Disney World app to see the pricing for Lightning Lane Multi Pass on February 9th and February 10th. However, when we selected the dates we wanted to view, an error message came up!
All other dates worked and showed the available Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass options. But that wasn’t the only strange thing happening in the app for the February 9th and 10th dates. We also tried to see the prices for Lightning Lane Premier Pass out of curiosity since Multi Pass and Single Pass were having issues, and the Premier Pass was blocked off (or already sold out) for both days! It’s unlikely that all four parks sold out that quickly for both days, so they are probably blocked off for some reason.
It’s unclear why this is occurring on these two dates, but we’ll be watching to see if the problem is resolved soon!
Recently, Disney announced that Lightning Lane Premier Pass changes are coming on January 21st. Instead of the Premier Pass only being offered to those staying at a Disney World hotel or select other hotel, it will now be offered to everyone visiting Disney World.
Lightning Lanes are the skip-the-line option offered by Disney at the Disney World parks. It’s a paid service with varying pricing based on which option you choose, the park and rides you pick, and the day you purchase it for. For a full rundown of how Lightning Lanes work, check out our video below!
