Reading good news is like finding a needle in a haystack these days, which is why we do what we do here at DFB!
And, when good news like this comes along, we can’t wait to share it with you, our readers. We’ve been keeping tabs on baby Bakso, the brand-new Sumatran tiger cub at Disney’s Animal Kingdom since we first learned of his birth, and now, he’s officially made his Maharajah Jungle Trek debut!
Baby Bakso, the Sumatran tiger cub, has officially made his debut at Animal Kingdom’s Maharajah Jungle Trek! He was born in October 2024 and is now playing around with his mom, Sohni, for all to see.

We headed over to the Maharajah Jungle Trek to see baby Bakso for ourselves, and it seemed like he wasn’t quite ready to come and say hi to us just yet, but we’ll keep trying! This is a good reminder that animals are still animals, even at Disney World! You may not always get the chance to see the animals you want at Animal Kingdom, but you’ll still see some, we promise!
We still can’t get over this adorable video Disney shared when Bakso was first introduced to us. Make sure you keep an eye out for him on your next visit to Animal Kingdom!
