We’ve been eating Disney World snacks professionally for over 15 years now, which means we’ve got plenty of hacks and tricks up our sleeves.
For instance, did you know that the Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom isn’t your typical quick-service restaurant and that this spot also offers Mobile Ordering? While that seems like a worthy snack trick on its own — allowing you to skip any lines and just pick your items up instead — it’s not what brings us here today. This Disney World snack trick is so sneaky it feels illegal!
Mobile Order is a SUPER helpful way to save some time in line. It can cut the waiting out of the whole ordeal since you can place your order ahead of time on the My Disney Experience app and schedule a pickup when you’re ready! Most people wouldn’t think that the Main Street Confectionery would have this option since it’s a merchandise location, but you can use this option here.
But, if you ask us, the real trick is mobile ordering a snack or two to take home with you at the end of the night! Before you start to make your way out of the park, you can place and schedule a mobile order to pick up from the Main Street Confectionery as you head out!
We LOVE using this hack after a long day at Magic Kingdom. It especially comes in handy right before or after the nighttime fireworks show if you’re watching them from Main Street. After the fireworks, just pop into the store and pick up your order!
But, we have to warn you that we’ve noticed a flaw with the system: sometimes, we don’t see Cast Members at the counter! In our experience, even after arriving to claim our order at the counter, Cast Members can be busy elsewhere, so we’re left watching and waiting for a nearby employee to help.
We usually don’t have much trouble tracking someone down to help, but if you’re in a rush and are hoping to grab your food and go, be prepared to wait.
We’ll be on the lookout for even more snack tricks you need to know about at Disney World. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney food news and more!
