If you’ve been wanting to take a Disney Cruise, now is a great time to book that trip, especially with Disney’s new ships like the Disney Treasure and the upcoming Disney Adventure and Disney Destiny.
However, booking a Disney Cruise isn’t exactly cheap, especially considering that you have to put 20% of the cost of your cruise down up front when you book it. However, Disney just made it easier and more affordable to book a cruise because you now only have to put 10% of the total cost of the cruise down as a deposit.
Disney Cruise Line has updated its Flexible Payment option so that when you book your cruise, you can hold that reservation for three days before any payment is due. Then, you can confirm your reservation for 10% of the total cost of the cruise and customize a payment plan that meets your needs. Your total balance will be due 90 days in advance for a cruise five days or less and 120 days for a cruise for longer than that.
Note that if you cannot take your cruise, for whatever reason, you can cancel within 120 days of your sail date and receive a full refund for most stateroom categories.
The total cost of your cruise will include your room, as well as standard dining options (although premium dining options are available for an additional cost), many cruise activities, trips to ports of call (like Disney Cruise Line’s private islands and beaches), and more. Note that gratuities are not included, nor are additional excursions, and some services (like spa services) onboard.
