Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is finally here!

Mickey’s Not So Scary!
The Magic Kingdom after-hours event is sure to be full of fun, entertainment, snacks, and more! We’re here for the first night of the party and checking out everything so you know exactly what you’ll want to do when your party rolls around. Let’s check out the crowds during this year’s 2025 kick-off party.
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is running on select nights from August 15th through October 31st, 2025! We’re here for the first night, and it’s clear we aren’t alone. When we first arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center, there were signs up to direct the Halloween party guests to use the ferry boat.

This is likely to help with the flow of getting party guests to Magic Kingdom, while many guests who are not staying for the event will leave by monorail.

The party runs from 7 PM until midnight, but if you have a ticket, you can get into Magic Kingdom starting at 4 PM! We try to arrive by 3 or 3:30 to get in line for the party so we can get in as soon as possible to take full advantage of our ticket. The lines at the wristband pick-up did have us a little surprised!

Arriving at MNSSHP
Tonight’s party is sold out, so we were expecting heavy crowds for this event. That said, “heavy crowds” for Not-so-Scary still aren’t as bad as a normal park day because this event has limited capacity.

The crowds are here!

If you are not a fan of waiting in the heat, we recommend skipping the rope drop time at 4 PM to get in. Today’s temperatures were high, and in that large crowd, you can start to feel unwell before the party even begins. We saw many guests using umbrellas for shade.

It’s hot out!
When we got inside, the crowds started to disperse as we got our wristbands and treat bags!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
One of our reporters checked out the wristband distribution stations inside Magic Kingdom. You’ll find one by Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, and this line was rather long compared to the other ones. We waited about 10-15 minutes here to grab our wristband. The least crowded was the station at Tortuga Tavern, which is also the line that has a ton of shade. You can grab your wristband at 4 PM, so we recommend getting in line about 10 minutes beforehand!

The line for wristbands!
Now let’s talk about one of the party’s longest lines — the Jack & Sally Meet and Greet! When we stopped by around 5:30 PM, the line was 90 minutes long! Now, if you are really wanting to meet these two rare characters, hopping in line early is a good idea. The party doesn’t actually start until 7 PM, so you won’t be missing much if this is a priority to you.

The wait to meet Jack and Sally!
As the night went on, the crowds disbursed, and while it is a sold-out party, it’s still less crowded than on an average day. We saw that the majority of the rides had under a 30-minute wait, including popular rides like Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, and more.

That Sky!
We’ll continue to keep you updated about the party throughout the evening. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for food reviews, entertainment tips, and more for the 2025 Disney Halloween season!
