Today, something very rare is happening in Disney World — a ride is permanently closing.
Splash Mountain has been in Magic Kingdom for years now, but it will be closing down to make way for a brand new attraction — Tiana’a Bayou Adventure. Although the ride itself will be similar to Splash Mountain, the storyline will pick up where The Princess and the Frog movie left off. The new ride isn’t set to open until late 2024, so let’s see what the crowds are like with guests trying to get one last ride on Splash Mountain!
Have you ever dreamed of having Disney World all to yourself? No lines for rides and room to roam around without bumping into a bunch of strangers?
Empty Main Street U.S.A.
Well, that can be a reality — Disney World After Hours events are back! We recently attended the After Hours event in Disney’s Hollywood Studios where we ate iconic snacks and walked on several rides. But just how empty is Magic Kingdom? We’re at the event to find out!
Have you ever seen Magic Kingdom when the park passes have completely SOLD OUT?
Disney World’s Park Pass Reservation system has been a staple ever since the parks reopened after the COVID-19 pandemic closures. The new system requires guests to have both a theme park ticket and a Park Pass Reservation in order to enter any of the parks. The reservations are limited, which means that parks can (and do) sell out of reservations. On November 17th, Magic Kingdom completely sold out of park passes, for regular guests and for Annual Passholders. Come with us to see what a sold-out Disney World park looks like! [Read more…]
It’s no secret that Disney World is a busy place, because, well, it’s Disney World!
We keep a close eye on Disney World’s crowds and wait times so you know what to expect when you visit. Holiday weekends and the weeks leading up to the fall and winter holidays are notoriously busy in the parks, but sometimes Disney crowds surprise us…and not always in the best way. Today, for example, crowds are WILD in the Disney World parks!
We love a LOT of stuff at Disney World!
From the rides to the food to the characters, there’s so much to love about the parks! However, there’s one thing that’s consistent at Disney World that we don’t love: the crowds. Disney World is insanely popular, and because of this, we end up seeing some pretty big crowds and long lines. Let’s take a look at what the crowds are like in Disney World right now!
Disney World remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in Florida, and even throughout the entire United States. So it’s no wonder we’ve been seeing some BIG crowds here lately!
Of course, summertime and holiday seasons are typically the busiest in the Disney World parks — so imagine our surprise when we were heading to Magic Kingdom this morning and were met with a SUPER long line, even before we got to the park!
The day we warned you about is here: it’s President’s Day! You might be wondering, “What’s the big deal about President’s Day?” Well, in Disney World, those extra few days off invite TONS of guests to visit the parks, which means there are long lines, high wait times, and large crowds pretty much everywhere!
Happy President’s Day!
We’ve been documenting the crowd level all weekend, but now that the official holiday is here, let’s see how busy Disney World looks on President’s Day!
So we saw Thanksgiving crowds yesterday, but what are Disney World crowds like today?
Today is the debut of the 2021 Festival of the Holidays in EPCOT and a lot of people are visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday, so we weren’t expecting low crowds in Disney World. Still, we were a bit surprised to find two parks VERY busy…and one oddly empty. Let’s get into it!
Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is turning into the party to end all parties.
We’ve seen tons of new merchandise, themed treats, special golden statues — what else does a celebration need? How about a brand new fireworks show over the iconic Cinderella Castle? We’re at the official opening night of Disney World’s new Magic Kingdom nighttime show, Disney Enchantment. And, we’re definitely not the only ones here — check out the crowds that turned out to watch this show’s debut!
