The Beak & Barrel is officially open in Disney World! This Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern opened on August 29th in Magic Kingdom, and it has been a popular spot. Reservations booked up quickly once they were finally released, and availability has been hard to come by.
If you are looking to snag a reservation at Disney World’s newest lounge, you will have to be quick or keep an eye out for reservations, as they do occasionally pop up. However, if you are looking for a larger group, we have a huge tip that will help make getting a reservation for your whole party easier.
We recently noticed that if you are trying to book a reservation at The Beak and Barrel on the My Disney Experience app, you will only be able to select up to 8 guests. No worries at all if you have fewer than 8 people in your party, but what if you are trying to book for more people?
We found a solution (at least for now)! If you head to the Disney World website instead, you can select up to 20 guests when you are making your reservation. Do keep in mind that it might be more difficult to snag a reservation with a very large party, but this could be an easier option then trying to grab two separate reservations and hope you are seated somewhat close together. While the option is still available online, it is possible this could change in the future!
While we still recommend having the My Disney Experience app for your vacation, this might be one of those instances where you will want to head to the Disney World Website instead! If you are booking for 8 people or less, though, you can choose whichever platform you prefer!
We have gotten the opportunity to stop by The Beak and Barrel and try out the new food and drinks! The tavern is themed to the Pirates of the Carribean and has its own backstory. Legendary pirate rumrunner, Captain Meridian “Merry” Goldwyn, has set up this “lively pirate pub” we know as The Beak and Barrel. Her first mate is Rummy, the tavern’s quartermaster, who keeps an eye on everything from his roost near the top of the bar. There are LOTS of hidden details throughout the lounge and you really feel like you are channeling your inner pirate while inside!
