It’s time for one of Disney World’s BEST ride overlays to come out of hibernation!
The holiday season is about to kick off in Disney World, and with it comes peppermint treats, red and green merchandise in every shop, and of course, a nearly ridiculous amount of Christmas decorations. But one of the best parts of the holiday season? The Jingle Cruise!
The Jungle Cruise is one of Magic Kingdom’s most beloved rides, an opening day attraction with a hefty fanbase. But once a year, The Jungle Cruise goes from “ha ha ha” to “ho ho ho” with a special seasonal overlay…The Jingle Cruise!
With this overlay, the ride will be decked out in kitschy, quirky Christmas and holiday decor. From khaki wreaths to new, punny names for the jungle boats, the ride really gets a top-to-bottom makeover. And guess what? It starts TOMORROW, November 3rd!
Unlike some other holiday overlays, you don’t have to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to check out this attraction. The Jingle Cruise operates all day, every day during the holiday season, including during party hours. If you want to see more of the sight gags and details, it’s best to ride it during the day, but if you’re interested in the Christmas lights effects, then ride at night.
Perhaps the best part of this overlay is that the Jungle Cruise skippers wear khaki Santa hats and change up their jokes to fit the season! Who doesn’t love a good holiday pun?!
This typically isn’t the only ride overlay we see during the holiday season. If you’ve purchased tickets to the Christmas party, you’ll also be able to see holiday overlays on Space Mountain, Mad Tea Party, and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. (To make sure you have time to do all four, you might want to ride Jingle Cruise before the party starts!)
So if you’re heading to Disney World in the coming weeks and months, don’t miss out on this holly jolly overlay!
