We’ve been going to Disney World for YEARS, so trust us, when we say it’s busy in Disney World, we mean it. We’ve seen three hour waits for attractions we normally don’t wait 20 minutes for, and lines for snacks that make us question if we’re even that hungry.
We’re used to families taking long weekends to head to Disney World, and when a holiday is around the corner, we see the crowds get busier and busier. For Presidents’ Day, Monday, February 16th, 2026, we headed to our beloved Hollywood Studios to see how busy it was, and well, let’s just say it surprised us!
For 2026, we really didn’t think the crowds were bad at all! Was the park empty where we could do cartwheels through the streets (please don’t do this even when it’s not busy)? No, but we didn’t feel walls of people when walking around. We didn’t have to wait at all to scan into the park…
…and could easily see where we were going once we walked in.
We had to stop by and check on construction for Monstropolis, the new Monsters, Inc. land that took over Muppets Courtyard, and while there was a bit more of a bottleneck because of the walls, people were able to get by pretty easily.
Into Galaxy’s Edge, lines didn’t look too bad either! What’s happening?!?
Obviously, we had to say hi to our favorite Pixar friends and head to Toy Story Land, where it felt busier (but we’ll swear up and down Toy Story Land always feels busier), but everything seemed to be moving and grooving.
Toy Story Mania was closed for a bit, which caused a big crowd of people trying to figure out where to go next…
…and once we left Toy Story Land, we stopped by Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which was fully into the extended queues.
For a true test, we have to check the wait times. 130 minutes for Tower of Terror feels a little wild, but 120 for Slinky Dog Dash is spot on. It’s a gloomy day, but rides were still able to operate without closing due to lightning. 90 minutes for Rise of the Resistance isn’t too bad either.
Don’t ask us why Alien Swirling Sauces always has a super high wait time (actually, it’s probably because it’s a low capacity ride and how long it takes to load, so actually, you can ask us), but Mickey and Minnie’s was around 65 minutes, along with 35 minutes for Star Tours.
It’s pretty strange for the parks to not be too busy when there’s a random day off from school and work, but we’ll take it! Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog, where we’re in the parks every day, sharing everything you need to know to have the best vacation yet.
