We’ve got a BIG update out of Frisco, Texas, where Universal’s newest park is in progress, and on track to open later this year!

Universal Kids Resort is preparing to open to guests this summer (though no official opening date has been announced just yet), and while this park is geared towards kids and their families, we can’t wait to check out the seven themed lands this park will have to explore. Now, there’s a big update to share that confirms the park should be opening later this year — casting has now opened for the park!

According to WFAA, the park recently released a press release stating that, “The resort is looking for team players who want to help create those unforgettable memories for families while prioritizing safety and enhancing the community.” The park is looking for both part-time and full-time workers, and perks of the job include complimentary tickets to the park, recognition programs, discounts on merchandise, food, and stays at the Universal Kids Resort Hotel, and more, according to the press release.

Those interested in auditioning have to be over the age of 18 and have to be interested in being an actor, or a costumed character and/or performer. Callbacks will be held on March 9th and 11th from 10 AM to 5 PM. To submit yourself, you’ve got to fill out the park’s interest form, which confirms that current open roles are for animated costumed characters, movers/performers, and actors.

The website also details the company’s values, such as doing the right thing, being team players, making safety a priority, and more. It also lists benefits employees will get, which include career development, financial planning support, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision health plans, a wellness program, vacation time including paid holidays, and much more.

On the audition form, it indicates to “See details included in the audition announcement for video specifics” when it comes to submitting a video to be considered. To see all roles currently open at the resort, you’ll want to check the list here. You’ll want to check back frequently, as it seems more opportunities will open up closer to the opening date.
