Our team at Disney Food Blog is Disney experts. We’re constantly in the parks and trying out the best new gadgets to make our park days even better. So when we saw this neck fan, we had to try it.
Long gone are the days of carrying a fan in your hand all day long. We tried two different neck fans, which stay on your neck like a necklace to keep you cool all day long. These sounded so convenient, but are they worth it? Let’s find out!
First, we tried the JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan!
This neck fan boasts a four to 16 working hour duration and 78 air outlets for ultimate cooling. Unfortunately, our battery only lasted three hours and 15 minutes! The air outlets would suck our hair inside and even rip some of it out. But while it lasted, it kept us incredibly cool!
This neck fan was easier to slide on and off our neck because of the lightweight material, and because the physical opening was wider. The on and off button is difficult to find when you’re wearing the fan — you have to reach behind your head, and it’s kind of hidden in the side.
Then, we tried the ASNUG Neck Fan!
This neck fan was 10 times better for the same price. It has a four to 16-hour battery life, which we found to be true! These 360° surrounding air outlets kept us cool all day, and the fan is bladeless, so your hair won’t get stuck! This was amazing for our long summer park days.
We didn’t like how hard this neck fan was to take off, though. The shape and material of this fan make it difficult to take off and put on your neck, which you do a lot when you’re riding rides. It stuck to our skin quite a bit, too.
Ultimately, these neck fans were convenient, but they didn’t convert us. We’ll still be taking our handy-dandy handheld fan to Disney with us!
We love this handheld mini fan!
The JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan keeps us cool from rope drop to fireworks. This fan is so compact! Most fans are larger and bulky to carry around, but this one folds nicely to take as little space in your bag as possible
It also has a built-in flashlight and a power bank to charge your phone. It might be small, but this fan packs a punch even on the hottest Florida days. It barely takes up any space in your backpack, but when you need it, you’ll be so glad you grabbed it.
We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more!
