Royal Caribbean just announced a brand new cruise ship!
The cruise line has had numerous expansions lately, with the new third Icon Class ship, Legend of the Seas, debuting this year. Plus, an unnamed fourth ship set for 2027 was just revealed!
Hero of the Seas will set sail from Miami in August 2027. It’s Royal Caribbean’s newest Icon-class ship with nine pools and 28 restaurants. The new ship includes Icon-class ship staples like the Pearl kinetic art sculpture, the open-air Central Park, the AquaTheater, and Absolute Zero.
The 250,000-ton vessel can accommodate up to 5,000 guests for its 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. The ship will be home to the most pools ever at sea, a record-breaking 28 dining venues, and cooking classes for all ages. For families, there will be brand-new family raft slides and new accommodations for multigenerational families.
“Icon Class truly set a new standard for family vacations, and Hero of the Seas takes that vision even further,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean, in a press release. “With more water, more thrills, and more choices for all ages, we’re continuing to build on what our guests love about Royal Caribbean and delivering the experiences families are looking for when vacationing together.”
Hero of the Seas will offer 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sails from Miami, with every vacation visiting Royal Caribbean’s private island, CocoCay in The Bahamas. Port stops include
- Roatán, Honduras
- Cozumel, Mexico
- Costa Maya, Mexico
- Philipsburg, St. Maarten
- Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Booking is already open for the Hero of the Seas on Royal Caribbean’s website. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more cruise news!
