Refreshment Port at EPCOT, near the Canada Pavilion, has been closed for refurbishment for a while now — but we didn’t know why.
Well, we officially do know why now, as it was just revealed that Refreshment Port will reopen as La Poutinerie!
La Poutinerie is replacing Refreshment Port, which was already known for its poutine dishes. The new spot will be sponsored by Air Canada, and promises to bring “a Canadian classic with a twist.”
While Disney has not revealed any additional information about La Poutinerie, such as an opening date or menu, we are looking forward to this new spot and hope that it will reopen soon. Given this latest announcement, we’re anticipating an opening date and menu will come any day now.
A Notice of Commencement permit was recently filed for Refreshment Port to install set elements, signaling that something more than a typical maintenance refurbishment was underway. This is typically what is listed on permits when Disney is working on the exterior of a building or attraction. In addition, the contractor listed on the permit was Icarus Exhibits, which has worked with Disney in the past — most recently on the new version of Test Track.
Refreshment Port also typically plays host to special EPCOT festival eats and drinks, like the Braised Beef Poutine at the Food & Wine Festival. We can’t wait for this quick-service restaurant to reopen so we can get our poutine fix once again at EPCOT!
We’ll be on the lookout for even more information about the new La Poutinerie and more from Disney World. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!

La Poutinerie is a great fun new name. I hope anyone who was picking up favorites here will find they are still there on the re-opening. That braised beef poutine looks amazing! I hope it’s available on our next trip.
Would have preferred an offering of Beaver Tails with Cinn Sugar, powdered sugar, tomato sauce, etc.
I hope it doesn’t change the holiday poutine. I look forward to that every year.
