Progress is continuing with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster has a new look!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closed earlier this year, on March 2nd, to make way for a new version of the ride featuring The Muppets. Immediately after the ride’s closure, Disney wasted no time making changes to the exterior, and that work has been progressing quickly!

We can’t lie, we keep making our way to Hollywood Studios to check in on what’s been happening with the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster building. If you haven’t been to the park recently or haven’t been checking our updates, Disney started painting the iconic upside-down car at the entrance as soon as the ride closed. One month later, and look at it now!

The car is so vibrant and animated. We’re loving the change, despite how iconic the old car used to look. It looks like the car is pretty much complete! That’s not the only exterior work that’s been going on, because we also noticed that painting has started on the giant red guitar.

We can’t get as good a look at this work because it’s covered, but we can get a peek to see that they started. When looking at the concept art for the ride, the guitar is really going to pop when all is said and done. We’re super excited to see what it will look like in person.

We’re super stoked for the new version of the attraction to open. It will feature animatronics of Scooter and the penguin audio engineers, who will be working hard to get Electric Mayhem to make it on time to their concert.

The concept is similar to the original ride, only Muppets style! We’ll be getting a VIP tour of  G-Force Records, but under new management by The Muppets! We’ve also been told that G-Force Records has a new, unique look, as Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, has taken over.

We’re patiently waiting!
