Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is being built as we speak, and we just got MORE details about this brand-new hotel!
Lakeshore Lodge is located in the former home of Disney’s River County water park near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. We have been keeping a close eye on the construction progress, but Disney just announced that this Disney Vacation Club Resort will officially open in summer 2027!
Disney has officially announced that this hotel will be opening in summer 2027! While we knew it would open in 2027, the summer timeline is new — an official opening date has still not yet been shared.
Disney also shared some updated concept art of the new hotel, and we’re even more excited for this resort to join the lineup!
We already knew that this hotel was going to be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” Previously released concept art featured Bambi, Flower, and Thumper from Disney’s Bambi, and a sign on the entrance that read, “The Wonders of Nature are Endless,” along with a silhouette that looked like Pocahontas. Now, with the new details, we are getting even more excited about this new hotel!
Originally, Disney had announced a hotel called Reflections: A Lakeside Lodge for the same space, but then stopped discussing the hotel. Now, Disney’s Lakeside Lodge will be opening instead. When Reflections: A Lakeside Lodge was announced, it was expected to have more than 900 rooms, which could give us an idea of how many to expect at Lakeshore Lodge.
We will continue to keep you updated on the construction progress at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, plus any more details that Disney announces about the hotel. Stay tuned to DFB for all your Disney World news!
