It’s always important to know what attractions will be closed during your trip to Universal Orlando, and we just received word that a fan-favorite experience will be closing soon.

So let’s head over to The Horror Make-Up Show in Universal Studios, and dive into everything we know!
The Horror Make-Up Show is an opening day attraction that takes guests behind the scenes into how make-up and special effects are done for the iconic Universal movies. This show is hilarious and is a fan-favorite among die-hard Universal fans. However, after lots of rumors and speculation, it is officially set to close for a “reimagining.”

As posted on the official UOAnnualPassholders Instagram, the show is set to close on May 12th and open sometime later this year as a reimagined show. Previously, there were rumors that the show was going to close back in January; however, nothing actually occurred.

Universal has yet to release what this reimagining will entail. The rumors back in January suggested that this new show would be a blend of classic and modern Universal horror while maintaining the iconic comedic style of the current show. However, we will make sure to update you as soon as Universal confirms plans for this reimagining.

And if you’re a Universal Annual Passholder, you get the opportunity to have reserved seating at the Horror Make-Up Show, May 4th-10th, to see it one last time before the closure.
