REVIEW: Buzz Lightyear Needs MORE Snacks in Magic Kingdom, if They're All Going To Be Like This

May 26th was a big day for Disney World – Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, Soarin’ Across America, Jessie’s Roundup, and an entire new land, The Walt Disney Studios, opened all in one day!

But here at Disney Food Blog, we think that Disney food might just be better than the rides. So when we heard that Disney quietly released four new snacks at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, we had to try them!

The Space Ranger Float is $7.49 at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies. This is DOLE Whip Lime and Vanilla Soft-serve Swirl with Sprite, Green Apple Pearls, Sprinkles, and a Chocolate Piece. The lime DOLE Whip in this was overwhelmingly tart, but the creamy vanilla swirl balanced the lime. The creaminess of the soft-serve made this a float that’s best when everything’s mixed in, especially so you can get the sweet green apple boba pearls at the bottom with every sip.

Space Ranger Float

The Zurg Overload Shake is $9.29. This is a Vanilla Shake with Cherry Coating, Marshmallow Whipped Cream, Sprinkles, and a Chocolate Piece. The vanilla shake is the same sweet, classic flavor as their plain vanilla milkshake. The coating didn’t crack enough to combine with the shake, and when we had a bite, it was mostly flavorless. The marshmallow whipped cream was the star of the show – it was flavorful and fun.

Zurg Overload Shake

The Cherry Limeade Float is $6.79. It’s DOLE Whip Lime with Sprite, Grenadine, and a Cherry. This is a Shirley Temple as an ice cream float, and we’re here for it. The DOLE Whip Lime tasted really tart in the Space Ranger Float, but in this float, it’s the perfect fit. The lime helped keep the cherry from being overly sweet by adding a tartness, and they paired well. This was very refreshing, and a great pick if you’re looking for a more fruity, complex flavor!

Last up is the Churro Shake for $9.29. It’s a Vanilla Shake topped with Whipped Cream, Salted Caramel Sauce, and Churro Pieces. The shake is a classic vanilla shake with a sweet vanilla flavor, and the toppings added lots of depth. Tons of caramel sauce is mixed in, and the churros on top are your standard Disney churros, which made for a great snack!
