Who’s ready to go on a Disney cruise? We have good news if you raised your hand, because it’s about to get even easier. Disney is expanding Disney Cruise Line to nearly double by 2030, with five new ships to the lineup of eight currently sailing ships.
Disney Cruise Line has four unnamed cruise ships setting sail in the next few years, and some expected departure dates have changed!
Disney’s unnamed 12th cruise ship was announced for a 2030 sailing, but it just moved up to a late 2029 departure! Additionally, Disney’s 13th cruise ship was scheduled for a 2031 departure, but it will set sail in late 2030.
Disney’s long-awaited Japanese ship with Tokyo Disney’s Oriental Land Company has been pushed back. This March, OLC announced that they’re hoping the ship will depart in 2028 compared to the previous 2029 departure, but Disney announced today that the OLC ship is still set for a 2029 departure.
The Disney Believe is Disney’s closest upcoming ship, with a predicted sailing in late 2027, which Disney confirmed is still on time. Additionally, Disney’s unnamed 11th ship, which was set for a 2029 departure, will still set sail in 2029.
Not much has been announced about the themes or statistics of these five ships. Disney has revealed most about Disney Believe, the fourth Wish-class ship, which will include stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. The Disney Believe will have its own unique motif: one of promise and possibilities, featuring the mystical worlds of Encanto and Frozen, to the wishing wells of Snow White, to the depths of the sea with Moana and The Little Mermaid. Endless stories are waiting to be discovered and new chapters ready to unfold onboard the Disney Believe in late 2027!
