LEVEL99 has been a major hit since it opened at Disney Springs, and we’re not the only ones who think so!
This interactive, social entertainment experience is a destination for “real-world, challenge-based, social entertainment” for adults, featuring physical and mental challenges set in artistic environments. We’ve had SO much fun at LEVEL99, but they’ve just announced a major change that we think will make the experience even BETTER! Instructions are replacing Hints!
Previously, before you would go to play one of the games at LEVEL99, the Entry Screen outside of the game room would give you the option to view Hints about what to expect from the game. From there, it was sort of up to you as a player to figure it out. This meant that you could be spending some time trying to determine what exactly you were supposed to be doing before actually doing it.
But now, LEVEL99 has revealed that Instructions have replaced Hints on all game Entry Screens! Now when you click the Instructions lightbulb in the bottom right-hand corner of any Entry Screen, you’ll see a pop-up that includes the Goal, Rules, and Star info for the game — no more guessing what you’re supposed to be doing!
Using the lightbulb is still optional, and many folks may still prefer to solve the puzzle on their own, but the Instructions for each game are now there if players want them.
The Disney Springs location is the largest LEVEL99 to date, and you’ll find it on the West Side of Disney Springs. If you’re interested in going on your next trip, you can buy tickets in advance of your visit at level99.com. Tickets start at $29.99 per player for intervals of 1.5 to 2.5 hours of play.
There are three different types of games at LEVEL99: Rooms, Duels, and Art Hunts:
- Challenge Rooms are cooperative games for teams of 2-6 players, taking 1-4 minutes to complete. Each room features a unique experience in either the PHYSICAL, SKILL, or MENTAL categories. Physical rooms test “strength, balance, and flexibility.” Skill rooms test “accuracy, timing, and reflexes.” Mental rooms test “memory, problem-solving, spatial thinking… and more!”
- Duels are head-to-head challenges found throughout LEVEL99;
- Art Hunts are “a low-key scavenger hunt involving the playful art found all throughout the space. Each piece of art contains a hidden Glyph” as a fun way to explore the entire location. The location in Disney Springs features more than 40 original works of art.
The goal of your LEVEL99 is to “work with your friends to discover new challenges, collect all the stars, find digital treasure, and master new experiences.” Think of it like an escape room, an obstacle course, and an arcade all wrapped into one! At the Disney Springs location, guests have access to 63 life-sized mini-games and challenges — that’s a LOT of games!
We’ll be on the lookout for more LEVEL99 updates you need to know about and more! In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and beyond.
