TOO EXPENSIVE !!

My thought is, this is an Osborne lights dessert party which could be COOL!!! For 1/2 the price and cut the frozen junk. This is “Frozen” themed in name only- and terribly done! Have a special M&G, SOMETHING! It’s the same price as the soiree for goodness sake and THAT sounds amazing!
Mark says
They have to be kidding. I used a fast pass for one of the shows during star wars weekend. The standby people got in before we did. The system Disney is using is a complete mess.
Sarah says
The Sinister Soiree sounds like an absolute steal compared to this package, and I thought that one was priced too high. I’ve heard that getting into the Frozen Sing-Along has been no problem since they have so many shows, and quite honestly you don’t even want to stay in a reserved area for Osborne Lights- you can’t see it all from one spot. So basically you’re paying for possibly better seats at a show you can already get into easily, some buffet-style desserts, and if you’re an adult, a limited variety of alcohol. No thank you.

Okay ….. I gotta ask. In what universe is a cupcake, two cookies and a glass of kool-aid worth $89.00. I love Disney and I spend a lot of time and money there but when I make a purchase or buy a ticket, it has to be worth it. I expect to pay a little more than going to the mall but there has to be a reasonable return for my $$$$$. This $89.00 ticket to view something I already get free for the price of my entry ticket doesn’t make sense.
Joe says
Larry – well, I think most of the folks purchasing this package have engorged themselves on the Kool-Aid, hence the price.

We love the Lights at DHS and we enjoyed the dessert party at MK. But that cost way less than this! We’ll be there in November and won’t be ponying up for this event. The Lights will be on, the snack and beverage stands have plenty appealing to us, and we can find lots of ways to blow $89/person that will be more fun.

I’ve been watching availability for this because I was hoping I could pick up a canceled dinner reservation for Thanksgiving week. I’ve had no luck with dinner and yet I could still book this package for 11 people if I wanted to! So far it looks like a big flop due to the price gouging.
Vern says
Why would anyone pay $89 bucks to sit and see the lights from one spot; you can’t see them all without moving around!
I would rather spend some of that money on an ornament that I will use every year and buy snacks or a dessert at one of the food stands.
This is definitely not worth the price.

I see many criticism over this package. Many people only point out to one aspect of the package… “$89 for scraps” is basically all I see being commented on here. Go back and read carefully as to what this package includes. Sure you can see the lights for free, sure you can go watch the Frozen show for free and snack on a few treats from the stands. But here is the deal. You pay $89 to have reserve seating for the Frozen show at any viewing thought the day (remember, Fastpass is only to give you priority entrance NOT priority seating), you are able to get dessert crazy in a reserved area and watch the lights show sitting down, having drinks (alcoholic & non alcoholic beverages) and snacking on their delicious desserts. Also included in the package is a lithograph of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights which no one else can buy and a Frozen pin. Its an extra experience that Disney offers. Anything extra cost more, its a given fact at Disney. If you find it too expensive find another activity. Disney offers a lot of things to do for free around the parks and resorts, do some research and you will find them. If you are content with attending these events as you normally do there is nothing wrong with that, but don’t bash Disney for offering an $89 package YOU find too expensive. If its not for you… move on.

The evening we went it poured. It wasn’t worth the money. Enjoy the lights for free and buy a dessert in the park. You’ll be a lot happier. The Frozen show can be added to your fast pass+ and is open to the general public.

PT Barnum said it best…..’there’s a sucker born every minute.’ I would have to have my head examined to waste $89 on this. A family of 2 adults and 2 kids, a mere $300. Wow, where do I make my reservations?? Whoever came up with this idea at Disney should be employee of the year. They are brilliant. To get a family of 4 to part with $300 for dessert and 2 souvenirs plus stuff that’s already free is a GENIUS!!!!
