opened just a few weeks ago, and the Spanish-inspired menu has everybody excited! Tapas? Paella? Sangria? Please, yes! But several of our readers have been wondering how the Disney Dining Plan will work at a restaurant known for its small plates. DFB has the details!
Here’s EVERYTHING you need to know about DDP at Jaleo!
Want to know more about the Disney Dining Plan? Click here!
First, Jaleo requires two Disney Dining Plan table credits on both the basic and the deluxe plans. That makes Jaleo a signature restaurant. Both basic and deluxe plans allow for one alcoholic beverages per 21+ diner. Alcoholic beverages allowed are beer, wine, or cocktails priced $25 and under. Non-alcoholic drinks for adults include unlimited Teatulia Iced Tea or one can or bottle of soda.
Entrees get a bit more complicated. On the basic DDP, diners can select two regular tapas OR one plated dish OR one tapa “intended to serve two” OR one plated paella.
Diners using the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan can select one of the options offered on the basic DDP PLUS one additional tapas.
Diners on both the basic and the Deluxe DDP select one dessert.
Kids using Disney Dining Plan (both basic and Deluxe) select one tapas from the kids’ menu, unlimited non-alcoholic beverages (minus bottled beverages and specialty coffee), and a dessert.

It sounds like this implementation actually turns this into a pretty fair value for money, and could result in a tremendous table of tapas when dining in a group.
Thanks for the info!
DFB Sarah says
Guinness, glad we could help!

Any word if Jaleo will join Tables in Wonderland?
DFB Sarah says
TomC, we would expect Jaleo to join TiW, but there’s no official word yet that they have. If we find out, we’ll update!

Thanks so much for this info! Is it possible to elaborate a bit more using the categories used on Jaleo’s official menu to explain what’s included? There isn’t a single category called “Tapas” – so would that include all of the first eight categories on the menu? Does that include every dish in those categories (including the $30-$36 dishes)? Are the “plated dishes” the following two categories? Would the “large tapa” include the $69 and $75 dishes, or are those excluded? Are any of the tasting menus included within the dining plan options? Thank you again for the help!
Allison says
Does this mean that the Deluxe Dining Plan is not given an appetizer at this restaurant?
DFB Sarah says
Allison, that’s true; those on the Deluxe DDP receive an extra tapas.
