This year, there have been multiple sickness outbreaks on cruises, and now, another is being added to the list. In the latest news, more than 90 passengers and crew members on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship have fallen ill with norovirus.

Norwegian Cruise Lines has had to cancel over four months’ worth of cruises in 2026 for two ships. This change is due to a “fleet redeployment,” according to the cruise line.

In a blow to the cruise industry, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has announced another outbreak on board an international cruise ship, this time aboard a Regent Seven Seas Cruises sailing that ended Wednesday, May 14th. The ship had departed from Tokyo on April 26th for a cruise through Japan and Alaska before arriving in Vancouver.
