With Musk’s encouragement (and money), Carano filed a lawsuit in California federal court against Disney and Lucasfilm. Disney later requested to dismiss the suit, but now, Carano’s team has fired back.

Gina Carano‘s Hollywood career has been a topic of contention for years. In 2021, #FireGinaCarano became a trending Twitter campaign following Carano’s association with a controversial image reposted online. Disney took notice and ultimately fired the actress via a statement from a Lucasfilm spokesperson.
