And, who am I to stop you? But, if you are looking for a fine-dining experience during your vacation, Disney World actually has some great options! Fans of seafood (hi, it’s me) would be remiss if they didn’t consider venturing to Disney’s BoardWalk for a meal at Flying Fish. Not only is the BoardWalk a fun experience on its own, but this restaurant is also a worthwhile stop on your trip for its beauty and delicious food. Recently, they added some new items to the menu, so I stopped by for a late dinner to check it out.
Most signature dining experiences in Disney World are known for high prices and high quality; is that a tradeoff you’re willing to make? And while you’re at it, ponder this: are you willing to leave the Disney parks for a meal at a Disney hotel? It’s a tough call! There are TONS of great eats in all four parks, but does the experience compare to a quiet sit-down dinner at a hotel’s signature restaurant?
Disney World is all chicken tenders, fries, burgers, churros, and ice cream sandwiches, right? WRONG. VERY, VERY WRONG.
Sure, we love ourselves a good funnel cake or giant Mickey waffle, but if you’re looking for a more elevated dining experience (we’re talking Pork Belly, Seafood Pearl Pasta, and more!) then we’ve found just the place for you. If you’re visiting Le Cellier, Hollywood Brown Derby, California Grill, or another of Disney’s signature restaurants, be prepared for some very delicious food and a fairly high number on that check at the end.
