Disney World isn’t the only one celebrating a 50th anniversary this year.

Lucasfilm turns the big 5-0 in a few months, and to celebrate the momentous occasion, the Lucasfilm Anniversary Sweepstakes is offering some seriously EXCLUSIVE Star Wars merch. Next up: an R2-D2 LEGO model!
UPDATE: The following day, May 21st, Rise of the Resistance was up and running as usual.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of the newest rides in Disney World, but it can also be one of the toughest to get on.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
To get on Rise of the Resistance, you’ll need to join a boarding group which can be difficult enough on its own. But, aside from getting a Boarding Group, technical issues and other problems can arise (just as they do with any other Disney ride) that cause Rise of the Resistance to close temporarily. And it looks like today is one of those days, as Rise of the Resistance is temporarily closed in Disney World.
A LOT has changed in Disney World lately!

On Friday, Disney announced that face masks would no longer be required in outdoor areas (with a few exceptions). We’ve seen plexiglass start to disappear on certain attractions, and some shows have reduced physical distancing, but now one of the most popular rides in all of Disney World is seeing some changes!
Here at DFB, it’s pretty obvious that we’re big Disney fans (and if you’re reading this you probably are too! 😉). And that love isn’t just for the theme parks — it’s for the movies and TV shows too.

That means we watch a LOT of Disney+. The streaming service is full of great Disney content, and in June, it’s about to get even better with more movies, shows, and new episodes to enjoy. So, let’s dive right in and discuss the whole list of content coming soon!

Just like us, they like to visit Disney World with their families and enjoy a little magic from time to time. Whether they’re there for work or pleasure, it can be a little challenging to spot them if you’re not looking in the right places — the parks are pretty big, and usually, these people are just trying to blend into the crowd. But don’t worry, if you’re looking to find some famous people, there are a few places where you can always find them in the Disney World parks!
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, it’s a pretty good time to be a Star Wars fan!
