Time sure does fly, right? We’re into the second half of the year and SO MUCH has already happened at Disney World in the past 6 months — a ton of entertainment has returned, character meet and greets are back to normal, the Star Wars hotel finally opened, and we got a brand new ride in EPCOT. But, there’s still a ton of things yet to come, like the return of Mickey’s Not-S0-Scary Halloween Party. However, there is some stuff that you’re going to do for the LAST time in Disney World this year — let’s break it down!

There have been major issues with flying in the United States, from pilot shortages to canceled flights. Gas prices are making travel by car more expensive as well. So, you might be thinking that the best way to vacation this summer is by going abroad. But, there are some major issues with that as well that involve getting your hands on a passport. So, let’s break down why getting a passport can be difficult in the U.S. right now.
It seems like everyone and their mother are in Europe right now. Have you noticed it too? Wherever we look on Instagram and Facebook, people are flying across the Atlantic for vacay, and we want to go, too!

Travel has seen a lot of ups and downs over the past couple of years, but people are traveling again. And even though there is a pilot shortage and problems with flight cancellations, there are still many planes taking off to far away places. So, if you’re thinking about booking a European vacation soon, let’s check out how much it would cost you to get there!

There have been a ton of flight cancelations due to staffing issues, weather, COVID-19, and more. Some airlines have cut down on their routes, and now, one airline is stopping its route to Orlando completely.
Staffing issues have been impacting a lot of different industries, including travel and tourism.

We’ve seen staffing shortages impact Disney over the past several months, but there are also shortages in places like the airline industry, which has caused many flights to be canceled. Another industry feeling major impacts is the hospitality industry — hotels in particular, according to a new survey.
Earlier this year, Disney canceled their free Magical Express bus service that took guests between their Disney World hotels and the Orlando International Airport. While many guests were disappointed with the change, some turned to a different potential option that could transport guests between the airport and Disney World: a high-speed Brightline TRAIN.

Disney announced the possibility of a high-speed train route between the parks and the airport way back in 2019, and a deal was reached with Brightline in 2020. The original deal held that the route would be complete in 2022, but delays with construction and planning pushed that deadline back several times. Now, Disney has CANCELED their plans to work with Brightline on this project, which has left many people wondering WHY.
With the 4th of July just around the corner, officials are expecting this weekend to bring travel to near pre-pandemic levels.

Many airlines are being forced to reduce, delay, or cancel flights as they face a shortage of workers, and with gas prices continuing to fluctuate, travel is still uncertain despite the high numbers of Americans expected to travel this summer. With a holiday weekend just days away, airlines are already canceling flights en masse, which does not bode well for travelers taking to the sky soon.
