Editor’s Note: The lobster mac and cheese is no longer offered at Gasparilla Island Grill.
Thanks to Chantel B. for sending along these great photos and mini-reviews from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort’s Gasparilla Grill and Games!
Gasparilla Grill and Games overlooks the marina at Disney’s Grand Floridian. Open 24-hours (!!!), this quick-service restaurant makes a great late night stop when leaving the Magic Kingdom. Dinner items are served until 11:30 p.m., then late night snacks are available overnight.
Dining indoors can be a bit noisy since this space also functions as the arcade. For a view of Cinderella’s Castle (and a quieter atmosphere) in the distance, dine at an outdoor table.
You can check out our full review with more atmosphere pics here! But let’s take a look at Chantel’s reviews of some very popular Gasparilla dishes…
Lobster Macaroni & Cheese
If you’re not staying at the Grand Floridian, this dish is worth a trip to the resort! The Lobster meat was small, not chunked. And the gruyere cheese blend had a nice creamy texture.
Chicken Sandwich plus Mozzarella & Tomato Salad
Served on a wheat bun, this sandwich had a nice flavor (obviously marinated) and not dry! The salad was very good, dressed with an olive oil/herb dressing.
Vegetarian Lasagna
The Vegetarian Lasagna selection had a rich tomato sauce with the crunchy corners we like on lasagna! We would have liked a bit more cheese.
Shrimp Stir Fry
The surprise of the lunch! It really had a nice flavor with good sized shrimp. The tasty sweet/sour type sauce was above average, though I would ask for less if I ordered again (I am not a “drowning in sauce” type person).
The shrimp was served over a coconut rice, full of bell peppers, pineapple, and onions. Everyone at the table agreed it was the star of the meal.
German Chocolate Cupcake
This cupcake was slightly dry, but had a great chocolate flavor and the coconut/pecan icing was delish! We looked in the bakery case for this item, however finally found it in the refrigerated section. A good choice for your counter-service dessert option.
Thanks to Chantel and her group for sending over this awesome review and the great pics! I always wondered how that lobster mac and cheese was!

A nice reminder of a neat spot to grab a quick meal or snack. I’ve never tried it as I am usually on my way to or from Narcoossies or Citricos and a light meal is not often on my mind, but the menu looks good and anywhere at the Grand Floridean, indoors or out is a great place to relax and spend some down time.
Nice review.

The mac and cheese doesn’t look like I thought it would look. I dislike lobster so haven’t tried it. And I know that somewhere there are tasty wheat buns, but unfortunately Disney didn’t get any. Hate to say it but the buns ruin the sandwiches. I want those shrimp though.

We ate here “by accident” this past December when we were looking at the Gingerbread house. My daddy and son both had the shrimp stir-fry and it was delicious! I had a burger. It was really good too. I really enjoyed the mozz salad. One desert was some kind of orange cupcake. It was AHH..MAZING! I think of that cupcake often. My youngest son just saw the pic of the lobster mac & cheese. He said”Oh my Gosh,I want that when we go back to Disney World!” Thanks for a neat review that brought back happy memories!!

We stayed there this past summer and that lobster mac and cheese was soooo good. The portion is enormous so I could never eat it all but it was so good I got it a few times.

Alan — I’m with you! I’m usually on my way to the Citricos or Narcoossee’s in the Grand Floridian. But Gasparilla sure is helpful when you’re wanting some snacks after the Magic Kingdom closes!
Catherine — I know — I had no idea what the Lobster mac and cheese would look like, and that looks a LOT better than I thought it would!
TinkyMurph — Ha ha!! That’s the same reaction when I look at pictures that come in with these awesome guest reviews “Oh My Gosh I want That!”
Deb Cote — I think “escape” is a good word!
Diana — Ha ha! So glad to hear that the lobster mac and cheese was great!

My family ate there in December while I took my niece for tea at the Garden View. They were impressed.
AJ says
Curtis — Glad to hear it! And how nice are YOU for taking your niece for tea!

I can imagine how that hot kung pao shrimp over rice would be satisfying food-wise and frugalwise after a day at MK.
AJ says
Cleo — Great points! 🙂

Can you go to a resort just for the food without booking a room?
AJ says
Tom — Yes, you can!
