In order to make sure you hear everything we hear, I created this Disney Food News Pinboard to capture the bits and pieces of information we receive through the grapevine.
I’m so grateful for all of the tidbits of info that I hear from readers and friends — I rely on you guys to be my eyes and ears for the DFB since I’m in Texas. Here are some news tidbits that we don’t have a full post about on the site, but that are important to know for your next Disney vacation!

Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs will celebrate Administrative Professionals Day on April 25th. With a minimum purchase of $35, your table can enjoy a complimentary MM Parfait! A generous helping of vanilla gelato cradles a chocolate creampuff drizzled in hazelnut crunchies, topped with sesame mocha, and garnished with sweet berries in this decadent dessert. Treat yourself during lunch from 11:30AM to 2PM with this special by mentioning that you’re celebrating Administrative Professionals Day.
Paddlefish’s Executive Chef Mark Boor will be hosting an interactive cooking class at Publix’s Aprons School in Dr. Phillips on Thursday, May 18 at 6:30PM. Attendees will be able to learn some skills from Executive Chef Boor and create some of Paddlefish’s signature dishes. On the menu: Lobster Corn Dogs, Ahi Poke, Seabass, and the fan favorite — Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Tart.
Morimoto Asia’s sushi bar is now open for lunch on the weekends. During lunch hours, guests can enjoy the full menu and sushi selections beginning at 11:30AM.
Frontera Cocina announces An Evening with Chef Rick Bayless
For the first time at Frontera Cocina, Chef Rick Bayless will personally bring his flavors and big personality from Chicago to our dining room for a private dinner.
When: Monday, May 8, 6:00PM
Price: $125 plus tax and gratuities

Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant in Disney Springs has been named to OpenTable’s list of the Top 100 Hot Spot Restaurants in America. The list highlights restaurants with “buzzy, engaging ambiance”, many which feature interactive dining experiences, live entertainment, and appealing playlists. We love Raglan Road for its contemporary Irish Cuisine by Master Chef Kevin Dundon as well as nightly music and Irish dancing. Congratulations to the entire crew at Raglan Road!
Citricos Dining Opportunities: On April 28th at 6PM, there will be a Domaine Bousquet Wine Dinner at the Citricos Chef’s Domain. Anna Bousquet, CEO & Co-Founder of Domaine Bousquet, one of the top Organic Wineries in the world, will showcase some of her favorite wines. Chef Dom and his team will design a delectable menu to enhance the amazing wines of the Domaine Bousquet portfolio. There is limited availability for this event and the cost is $250 plus tax/gratuity per Guest, paid on the evening of the event.
On May 6th at 12PM, Citricos will host Brunch with a Twist. Enjoy a sumptuous repast from the Grand Floridian culinary crème de la crème as they turn dining at Citricos into pure epicurean enchantment! You will be treated to a 5-star, 5-course meal prepared by our award winning chefs, Executive Chef Scott Hunnel, Chef Dominique Filoni, Chef Noah Estabrook, Chef Nick Mussara, Chef Lawrence Searl, and Executive Pastry Chef Erich Herbitschek representing Victoria & Albert’s, Citricos, Narcoossee’s, the Grand Floridian Café, and the Grand Floridian Bakery. From amazing appetizers to delectable dessert, each course is carefully paired with complementary wines for the ultimate brunch experience. Attendees will learn new cooking techniques and have the opportunity to ask questions while watching the chefs whip up their individual specialties.
There is limited availability for this pre-paid event and the cost is $169 plus tax per Guest. Gratuity and complimentary valet parking are included.

Tutto Italia: Epcot’s Tutto Italia restaurant is now offering two of their popular dishes together. Get their cheese tortellini in a cream sauce paired with chicken cutlets and mushrooms. Now available for a limited time!
Grab and Go Breakfast at Grand Floridian: The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort are now offering a Grab and Go Breakfast option in the lobby from 7:30-10:30AM.

Menu Update at Boatwright’s: Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort has updated its menu offerings to Guests.
While the Gulf Delta Chilled Shellfish has been removed from the lineup, the Ol’ Man Island Oysters have been added, now combined with the new Colonel’s Peace Pieces, featuring a blend of lightly fried oysters, crawfish, shrimp, okra, and drizzled with the house-made remoulade.
Joining the appetizer selection will be the Pirogue Platter, including the Chef’s selection of meats and artisanal cheeses.
The Ponchartrain Pasta will now include orecchiette pasta, Andouille sausage, and fresh shrimp, complimented with fresh corn, and tossed in a light cream sauce. The Voodoo Chicken will now be accompanied by fluffy waffles and garnished with maple bacon gravy.
Add Shrimp Creole, Crab Imperial, or Crawfish Mac n’ Cheese to enhance your entrée experience.
Kona Cafe Updates: Reader Emily also reports that her family was able to order the ‘Ohana bread pudding to be brought to their table! “The portion was plentiful, the single serving about the same size as the portion for 2 people served at ‘Ohana. Came with the same lovely sauce and ice cream!”
Also, the “New York Strip is now served with a maple bacon butter instead of teriyaki pineapple. It is served with choice of potato and seasonal veggies (mine was delicious broccoli). Half of an entire bunch of garlic cloves come roasted as well, ready for delicious spreading. It was incredible!”

Pacific Wharf Cafe Menu Update: At Disney California Adventure, Pacific Wharf Cafe’s menu has been updated and now appears much smaller. For example, the Chili and Shrimp Louie Salad have been removed.

AristoCrepes: As of November 2016, the Aristocrepes kiosk is transitioning into a seasonally operational stand featuring items such as pretzels and popcorn, and will occasionally serve seasonal items as well (like specialty drinks during the Holiday season). You may instead find Crepes at Amorette’s Patisserie.
DISNEY CRUISE LINE
Disney Cruise Line is now offering Royal Court Royal Tea on all four Disney Cruise Line Ships. This experience, which was once exclusive to the Disney Fantasy, is an add-on experience where children enjoy a Tea Party hosted by Lady Chamomile and Chef Brule who are joined by Disney Princesses. The price of $210 for children (and $69 for adults) also includes a selection of herbal teas and two courses (one sweet, one savory), and an assortment of gifts for girls (a jewelry box, a link bracelet, a charm necklace, a Cinderella doll, an autograph book and pen and a tiara) and boys (a Royal Court cinch bag, a sword and shield, pins, an autograph book and a Duffy the Disney Bear plush).
