Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is a global celebration of the Season! We don’t have the 2018 dates yet but you can check out our 2017 coverage here!
During the Festival guests can enjoy enhanced offerings around World Showcase and experience holiday traditions from various cultures as expressed through decorations, stories, music, cuisine, and additional special events.
For many years, Epcot’s celebration of the season was known as Holidays Around the World. It was an annual Epcot tradition for years, and the offerings were expanded in 2016 with the addition of Holiday Kitchens. This change to a full-on Festival feel has now been updated to the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays for 2017!
Holiday celebrations the world over share something in common: a major aspect of the season is FOOD. The food booths operate much like the Marketplace Booths for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.
One noticeable difference, however, is that where the Food and Wine Festival focuses on small plates and snacking-sizes so guests can sample lots of everything, many of the Holiday Kitchens also share larger portions — nearly full entree-sized, in many cases, such as the Slow-Roasted Turkey at the American Holiday Table!
In 2017, the offerings have greatly expanded with EVEN MORE Holiday Kitchens to enjoy!

Walt Disney World’s Epcot has always been a beloved destination for guests visiting during the Holiday Season. The Candlelight Processional is an endearing, traditional way to celebrate the Christmas Story.
A celebrity narrator shares the Christmas story accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and choir (composed of a Disney Cast Member choir along with an ever-changing group of guest choirs from around the country). Three performances take place each night at 5:00, 6:45, and 8:15 pm. We are awaiting dates for 2018.
Candlelight Processional Dining Packages allow guests to pair breakfast, lunch, or dinner at a participating Epcot or Resort area restaurant and enjoy reserved seating for the popular production.
Visit our Candlelight Processional Page to see the list of this year’s celebrity narrators along with restaurants and prices for the Dining Packages.
The Festival of the Holidays offers guests a glimpse into how different cultures celebrate the holidays that take place during the Winter months.
Stop by each and every World Showcase Pavilion to hear Holiday Storytellers share the traditions that are integral parts of the season in the country they represent.
Joyful: A Celebration of the Season
Head to Future World to catch a performance of Joyful: A Celebration of the Season!
This show features gospel mixed with jazz, R&B and more. Performances take place throughout the day at the Future World Fountain Stage.
Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree
Get ready for a festive seasonal Scavenger Hunt! In 2017, guests could purchase a map and sticker set for Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree for $6.99 (plus tax) at a select merchandise location such as Pin Central, Disney Traders, and World Traveler at International Gateway. We’re waiting to see if this fun activity returns for 2018.
Then, travel around World Showcase to each Pavilion to seek out signs of Chip & Dale as they collect ornaments to decorate their Christmas Tree.
Once you see Chip & Dale, add the corresponding ornament sticker to your map. And when you’ve spotted them all, just bring your completed map to Disney Traders for your prize: your choice of three button sets!
Holiday IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth
Epcot’s popular nighttime spectacular, IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, is enhanced with a special ending during the Holiday Season.
Be sure not to miss the Peace on Earth Holiday Tag at the end of the show for a spectacular way to cap off your day at the Epcot International Festival of Holidays!
