Ahoy, me hearties!
When I was in Disney World last week, I got me — er, my — very first look at the brand new Jack Sparrow Cupcake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! (Oh, and I got that Gingerbread Cupcake, too, which I’ll share with you tomorrow!!)
This cupcake is something special, indeed. It comes to you tucked inside of a souvenir plastic pirate treasure chest in your choice of colors — brown or pink. (If you’re a Disneyphile, you’ve probably seen these treasure chests used many times before — like for those little celebration cakes!)
Inside, you find a chocolate-on-more-chocolate cupcake, but you also find some really special white chocolate pieces along with it.
You’ll walk away with extra booty for that steeper price tag: a gold-painted chocolate treasure-chest key, a golden white chocolate coin, and a beautiful little painted/printed chocolate map! (Full disclosure: my treasure map was kind of wet and gooey and altogether unappetizing…so be prepared.)
There are pearls — PEARLS! Get it? Like from the movie title? — garnishing the cupcake, too!
And even though my map was kind of gross, it is a very cool idea! So here’s a close-up so you can sort of understand what’s going on here…
If you are on the hunt for this little treasure, you’ll find it at a stand located just outside of the brand new Jack Sparrow Experience attraction. You’ll also spy them at Studio Catering Company as well as other counter service locations throughout the park.
Whaddya think? Would you shell out $9 for this treat with a souvenir treasure chest? Let us know in comments!

Maybe not everytime I was there but Heck yes I would definitely get at least 1. I love all the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and the ride is one of my favorites. I can’t wait to get back there for the new Jack Sparrow attraction. Hopefully, this is still there when I finally do get back! : )

I got the gingerbread cupcake, too, last week when I was at HS!! I think I liked it better than the Butterfinger cupcake….cream cheese icing and gingerbread cake? Yum!
I can’t wait to hear what you thought 🙂

This cupcake was so beautiful, but also VERY delicious. Definitely one I would recommend to anyone doing the cupcake crawl at Disney World!

We managed to snag one of these in May. Took us two trips to staring rolls to get one for breakfast. We will be looking for the pink one this next week and/or December.
Anybody know where, if they are still around, we might could find a pink one?

Starring rolls is one of those places so easy to miss but regular guests love this hidden gem!
