Are you attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year?
If so, it’s time to get ready for SNOW on Main Street, U.S.A…
Twinkling lights on Cinderella Castle…
More festive cheer than you can shake a stick at…
Oh, and FOOD!!! As always, Mickey’s merriest celebration of the year will be serving up some extra special treats exclusively for party guests at this extra-ticketed event running on select nights beginning November 8th. Of course, guests can always eat their fill of cookies (or a healthier choice) and drinks at designated stations throughout the park as part of admission to the party.
But some additional festive fare will be available for purchase at a few of our favorite Magic Kingdom Counter Service spots, beginning with my very favorite from last year: the Peppermint Fudge Sundae at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, complete with plenty of whipped cream, hot fudge, mint chocolate chip and vanilla ice cream, and real crushed candy canes in a waffle bowl!
Naturally, the Holiday Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich will be available at the Parlor as well.
Many DFB readers will be happy to learn that the Pumpkin Spice Waffle will be available once again at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, only this time with hand-scooped ice cream topped with red and green sprinkles (as opposed to the version that used to be served at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which featured orange and black sprinkles on top of soft-serve).
My advice? Even if you don’t plan to purchase one, at least make a point to stroll by Sleepy Hollow for the wonderful aroma of the spiced waffles as they’re prepared!
Once again, cupcakes will play a major role, including the return of the Holiday Tree Cupcake at Gaston’s Tavern.
The surprise here are the abundant spices in the yellow cake base, including cinnamon, clove, star anise, and orange zest.
But the Holiday Tree Cupcake will be facing some definite competition in the cute category, with the Holiday Bear Cupcake (vanilla cake with peanut butter chips and chocolate frosting) coming to Main Street Bakery.
Main Street Bakery will also serve a Peppermint Cupcake with buttercream frosting again this year.
Keep an eye out for the Mickey Elf Stein, along with premium popcorn buckets and a souvenir mug.
And with this, the holiday season is officially kicking off at Disney World… ready or not ;).
Here’s wishing everyone a wonderful start to the Very Merriest Time of the Year!

Delicious although I think for Christmas the waffle should be gingerbread spice

Will you please remove the green banner from the top of the screen which halves the size of my phone.
JM says
Have to agree with David’s comment about the ad banner. Making it difficult to read the blog. Seems more and more shopping tips lately versus food.
Btw what is the cupcake with the pretzels (pictured with the peppermint). Sometimes the simple treats are overlooked, but just as tasty (or better).

The Christmas Bear cupcake is cute, but I think that the Christmas Tree cupcake looks more like a Christmas ‘Bush’ cupcake. Disney’s themed cupcakes are usually much more accurately portrayed. The bush just doesn’t look that cute. I love the Mickey Elf stein; that’s adorable!

Will the MK have any special Christmas treats outside of the parties? We arrive for the week of Christmas after the parties are finished. We’d love to know what some of the fun seasonal snack options might be then. Thanks!

Interesting how things are never quite good enough….folks sit & wait to critique any & everything. Disney is magical and so is this info. Thank you
