If you’re an Annual Passholder at Walt Disney World, you already know you can score discounts on everything from food and drinks to resort reservations and merchandise. But we’re bringing you a money-saving tip you NEED to know for saving even more money on your day-to-day park visits!
If you’re looking for a bottled beverage or a pre-packaged snack at Walt Disney World, you might pop over to a convenient snack kiosk or drink cart to grab your favorite Coca-Cola or Dasani. But at these locations — and some Starbucks locations! — you can’t apply your AP discount!
If you’re willing to walk just a bit further, you can get your discount and your refreshment because Annual Passholder discounts on those same drinks and eats can be had at merchandise locations! That means if you need a little something to survive that Flight of Passage line in Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can skip the ACE Ice Cream Cart and Pongu Pongu in favor of Windtraders — and save yourself some cash!
Of course, if you want to save all the cash, you could always get a cup of Florida water at Satu’li Canteen. 😉 But if that doesn’t do it for ya, use this tip to save a little money here and there! It’s just one of the many perks enjoyed by Passholders in the know!

I guess I’m dumb too, then because I’ve been an AP for 6 years and it’s never occurred to me to run into a gift shop for a bottled drink if need be. So I, a dumb person, thank you for this “article”.
Dana, thanks for reading. 🙂

OMG. never realized I could get a discount at a store!. wow!. Sodas and water are big bucks now and every discount matters! THANKS! I sure do need that little something (caffeine) to get me through my Disney Day!
You can also sometimes get the discount at the outdoor carts too. I went up to one just to buy water & the girl asked me about my AP discount. Since that stand sold merch too she was able to do it & I didn’t even have to go inside!
Thanks, this is very helpful! While Starbucks locations don’t give AP holders a discount, the Joffee’s ones too. I honestly prefer Joffee’s so it’s great for me, but I’ve met many long time AP holders who didn’t know that.
Starbucks absolutely gives the AP discount as well as accepting the Starbucks app. At least at Disneyland where the AP discount is more widely accepted than in WDW. I can’t recall how it was at WDW.
