Today we’re checking in at All-Star Sports, All-Star Music, All-Star Movies, and Coronado Springs for some merchandise, construction, and cupcakes! Here’s a Resort What’s New!
All-Star Sports
It’s cheer and dance season at the All-Star Resorts
, and Sports has welcomed the cheerleaders with a little extra spirited fun that any guest can enjoy! During the run of the cheer and dance events (which take place through this week and next weekend), the lobby has a fun photo op set up for anyone who’d like to snap a pic!
Dancers can also get this cute and colorful keepsake! This is a Name Works drawing, so while the DANCE is fun and timely for the performers, all guests can commission one for themselves with their own name!
In the pastry case at End Zone Food Court, guests can purchase this Cheer Cupcake. Really you don’t need to be into cheering yourself to like this one — you simply need to be a fan of bows and glitter. 😉
All-Star Music
All-Star Music also has a photo opp — this one in Maestro Mickey’s. The DisneyChEARS backdrop features a hashtag, and the frame is fun, too!
We also like this colorful candy display — let it serve as a reminder to look UP at Disney, too! 🙂
Intermission Food Court is where we discovered three tasty cupcakes, too! The colorful Unicorn Cupcake is a returning treat that has a new, summer-ready flavor! The Character Icon Cupcake is inspired by Aladdin’s Genie! The Ice Cream Sundae Cupcake comes complete with a cherry on top!
In case you prefer to subsist on more than cupcakes, Intermission Food Court has recently re-introduced Create-Your-Own Southwest Bowls!
You select a base, a protein, a sauce, vegetables, and toppings. We like the sound of the White Cheddar and Jalapeno Queso!
Singing Spirits Pool Bar has a couple of refreshing-sounding themed drinks.
Rockin’ Lemonade is made with Ciroc Vodka and Blue Curacao. The Royal Island Punch is made with Crown Royal Whiskey.
All-Star Movies
During our visit, All-Star Movies had a cool Avengers photo op in the lobby! (No dance or cheer specific photo ops at this resort!)
Donald’s Double Feature has an Aladdin merchandise display front and center.
And this is the only resort of the three where we found the Land that I Love Minnie Ears. (We also found them at Mouse Gear in Epcot.)
In the World Premiere Food Court, the Grand marquee has Sundaes, yes, they do! 😉
And we took a peek inside the Secret Menu Viewmasters! The menu is the same — see it here!
Coronado Springs
We stopped into Coronado Springs to check on the progress at Gran Destino Tower. The nearly 545-room tower is coming along, with exteriors seemingly complete on the main tower itself.
Work still continues in the spaces around the tower and adjoining structures.
But we love the stylized design on the top of the tower!
In Panchito’s Sundries and Gifts, guests can commission a Name Works piece, just as they can at All-Star Sports.
And the shop is ready for Mothers’ Day with this display!
The Dig Site Pool has May Resort Activities posted, so you can plan ahead if you’re heading to Coronado Springs this month!
Thanks for joining us at the All-Star Resorts and Coronado Springs! Stay tuned for our next resort visit and What’s New!

Is there any update on when the rooms will be done with refurbishments at All Star Movies?
Andrea, I think the closest we’ve heard is “late 2019”. After that, it’s expected that All-Star Music will be refurbished next.
We are staying at All Star Movies in September. We have no room preference and prefer a more quiet location that has been refurbished. Do you have a room recommendation for two adjoining rooms?
Connie, from what we know, buildings 6-10 have been refurbished (you might call the Resort to confirm!), and if you want a room that has a chance of being quieter, you might want to request the backside of buildings 7 or 9. TouringPlans.com has some great information about room locations that’s searchable by volume (and other criteria). Click here to see their info for All-Star Movies!
