Earlier today we shared with you the menu at Hollywood Studios’ new Oasis Canteen, and now we’re back with a full review of all the new drinks!
This spot is located near the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! show, and it features a full bar as well as a selection of drinks unique to the location.
The kiosk itself is pretty simple. The structure appears to be built from wood and it has a few metal and red accents. Its sign and menu have a bit of an aged look, which fits right in with Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
In addition to specialty cocktails, the location also offers assorted beer. But for the purposes of this review, we’ll chat about the three headlining drinks — The Lost Jewel, Snake Alley, and Long Lost Island.
First, we tried The Lost Jewel ($15.50). This bright blue drink is comprised of Absolut Citron Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Blue Curacao, and Sweet-and-Sour, and it’s served with a souvenir glow cube.
A note of forewarning — all the drinks we tried were SWEET. This one landed in the middle of the sweetness scale for us. Of the drinks we tried, most of us agreed that this was the most drinkable.
The second drink we tried was the Long Lost Island. In our sea of primary-colored drinks, this would be the pink one! This is made of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Bacardi Superior Rum, Hendrick’s Gin, Triple Sec, Sweet-and-Sour, Sprite, and Wild Berry flavoring. It is the most expensive option at $16.50.
This was the strongest drink of the bunch, as most long islands are! The wildberry added a good hint of sweetness, but it wasn’t unbearable. This was by far the least sweet of the three drinks.
Finally, we tried the nuclear yellow Snake Alley. It’s the least expensive of the specialty drinks at $10.50 and it was also the sweetest! It’s made of Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Crème de Banana, Melon Liqueur, Sweet-and-Sour, and Pineapple Juice. No glow cube here, but it is garnished with fresh pineapple.
The banana came through pretty prominently for us, so if you’re not a fan, take note! We liked this least of the three choices, but it really was pretty to look at!
As we mentioned above, the bar also has an assortment of beers to choose from as well as wine, other spirits, and mixed beverages. Note that you’re limited to purchasing 2 drinks per valid ID. We’re glad to see a new spot to grab a drink in Hollywood Studios and this place certainly has some eye-catching concoctions to sip around the Studios!
