Hey friends! It’s time for another roundup of What’s New at Hollywood Studios!
This is where we take you along on a magical sleigh ride through this Disney World park to see what’s been happening with construction, food, and merchandise!
Hollywood Studios has been really turning up its holiday cheer since we last swung by for the kick-off of the Christmas season on November 8th! There’s much to discuss, so settle in with your cup of hot cocoa and let’s get started!
Construction and Entertainment Update at Hollywood Studios
As we pulled into the car entrance for Hollywood Studios, we spotted some new, cute holiday decor!
And as we walked through the main gate, we saw the Citizens of Hollywood were outside performing in their holiday attire!
See MORE holiday decor at Hollywood Studios here!
Echo Lake
Our holiday trek continued over by Echo Lake where I quick jaunt to the 50s Prime Time Cafe had a retro-inspired Christmas Tree in its living room, err… waiting area.
The tree had some really cute, kitschy ornaments! We were loving all of its details!
Their vintagey-style kinda reminded us of some of the holiday merch Disney released this year including Mid Century Modern-inspired barware and home decor!
And while we were there, “Dad” mixed us up a Mowie Wowie to get us even more into the holiday spirit!
Hollywood and Vine
At Hollywood and Vine, Minnie’s Holiday Dine has returned! Enjoy feasting with the hostess-with-the-mostest, Minnie Mouse along with a few of her friends in special holiday costumes!
Find out more about Minnie’s Hollywood Dine here!
Grand Avenue and Commissary Lane
Meanwhile, work has progressed on the new construction we spotted a few weeks ago.
While there’s been speculation that the building might house some more restrooms, a few new pieces of trim work have been added to the building’s exterior as well as some drinking fountains. Looks like our suspicions are getting closer to being confirmed!
Animation Courtyard
Over by Animation Courtyard, there are now banners at the Launch Bay advertising Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which is being released on December 20th — we can’t wait!
On their reverse side are advertisements for Disney+’s exclusive new series, The Mandalorian! Have you subscribed to Disney+ yet, ’cause over 10 million people already have!
Read about what we’re watching on Disney+ here!
We also saw there were new billboards promoting Disney+’s original film, Noelle…
…and Frozen 2, coming to theaters November 22nd!

Food Updates in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Sunset Boulevard
Meanwhile, we stopped by Sunshine Day Cafe and noticed they had an updated drink sign with their two seasonal offerings — the Holiday Mule and the tasty Frostbite which has just made its chilly return. We love sipping on these while taking in the sights of Sunset Seasons Greetings!
Read our review of the Holiday Mule here!
We also spied with our little eye the popcorn carts were selling two of the season’s hottest premium popcorn buckets including the Mickey Light-Up Tree Popcorn Bucket as well as the adorable Buffalo Plaid Alien Popcorn Bucket!
Merchandise Update at Hollywood Studios
Okay, friends! We know you have a lot of shopping to do, especially if you’re looking to get most of it done for the holiday season gets really cray-cray! So without further adieu, let’s see what’s new in the Hollywood Studios shops!
Legends of Hollywood
Even though Epcot’s 2019 Food and Wine Festival is coming to a close (its last day is November 23rd!) you could still get your Food and Wine Festival Pandora Charms at Legends of Hollywood when we stopped by!
We love the adorable Chef Mickey design this year’s Pandora Charm features!
Read more about the Lightsaber Hair Sticks here!
Once Upon a Time
At Once Upon a Time we spotted this adorable Mickey Ornament to ring in the New Year with!
It’s dated 2020 and features an adorable design of Mickey and Minnie on one side while the back has icons from every park and a picture of Pluto with the phrase “Houndsight is 2020”!
Check out the other 2020 merch we’ve spotted this year here!
Tower of Terror Gift Shop
If you’ve got any Nightmare Before Christmas fans on your shopping list, you’ll want to swing by Tower of Terror Gift Shop to see their selection of spooky jewelry, like this Jack Choker for $19.99!
Luckily, it’s adjustable, so it’ll fit a wide range of sizes…
…and it even has a sweet little charm of Zero! How cute is he?!
If you’re more a fan of Sally, there was also a version for you!
The Sally Choker also costs $19.99 and it’s adjustable, too!
And how charming is this Nightmare Before Christmas Charms Necklace for $19.99??? We love how it features a bat with little dangly charms of Jack, Sally, and Zero!
This Nightmare Before Christmas Tassel Necklace for $19.99 was super on-trend!
But we were losing our heads when we saw these stunning Nightmare Before Christmas Rings for $14.99…
…as well as these Nightmare Before Christmas Earrings for $14.99. Words can’t do these things justice! They’re just sooo fabulous!
Municiburg Shop
At Municiburg Shop we spotted this adorable Incredibles Shirt for $34.99! This will look super-sweet with our new Edna Mode MagicBands — featuring Jack-Jack and his Num Num Cookies!
Celebrity 5 & 10
Celebrity 5 &10 had a few new items on their shelves for Star Wars lovers. Check out the new Mandalorian Mug we spotted for $22.99!
It’s a really cool, and well-designed piece! We love how it’s sculpted and even has a faux-distressed finish, like a bounty hunter’s helmet!
Plus it’s got a lid, so if you get too absorbed into an episode of The Mandalorian and forgot you poured yourself a hot drink, it should stay nice and warm — at least for a little while!
We also saw this new Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Mug for $19.99. One side has Kylo Ren standing with an army of Stormtroopers!
While the other side has all of our best buds from the Resistance! Go get ’em, Rey!
The inside of the mug also has this cute detail, so you can see Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker while you be sippin’.
Last, we spotted the Fuel Rod Kiosk was back at Celebrity 5 & 10. There’s been some drama at the Disney parks lately concerning Fuel Rods. The company tried to make free unlimited swaps a thing of the past, but for now, their attempts have been thwarted.
Read more about the FuelRod situation at the Disney parks here!
Well folks, that’s all for this edition of What’s New at Hollywood Studios — until next time! We’ll be back soon with more food, construction, entertainment, and merch news as soon as we spot ’em!

Mowie Wowie is actually Maui Wowie and it’s a cannabis strain, lol. More 80s than the 50s.
Interesting to see that they corrected their mistake on the Frostbite/Holiday Mule sign. Original one had the two drinks mixed up and mislabeled.
Tripp, indeed it did!
Wonder Bread, at Tune-In Lounge and 50s Prime Time, they make a cocktail called Mowie Wowie. Thanks for the trivia!
