We’re One BIG Step Closer to TRON Lightcycle Run Opening in Disney World!

If you’re like us, then you CAN’T WAIT for TRON Lightcycle Run to open in 2021.

As you probably know, we’ve been keeping a close eye on construction progress over at the new Tomorrowland coaster in Magic Kingdom. We’ve seen the building structure appear and the arrival of interior and exterior portions of the track. Well, the TRON team is celebrating a big construction milestone and has shared a sneak peek at the behind-the-scenes of the coaster!

What is that big milestone you ask? The final piece of track has been lowered into place! That’s right!! The coaster’s path is completely finished so we’re one step closer to hopping on light cycles of our own.

The entire TRON team showed up to the construction site to witness the last piece of the track going into place so it truly was a momentous occasion! Check out this video where you can listen to some of the team talk about what this milestone means to them!

We can’t wait to be able to ride this much-anticipated attraction. TRON Lightcycle Run will open in 2021 in Magic Kingdom and it’s clear that a lot of passion is going into creating this ride experience. Nothing like a new coaster to help make the park anniversary a truly momentous occasion!
