Strolling through Hollywood Studios always puts us in a good mood!
We zipped on over to the glitziest and most galactic of the Disney Parks to see if there’s anything new going on. Last time we were here we found a hot cocoa flight and a Baby Yoda easter egg so we had our eyes wide open! Well, here’s everything we were able to spot in food, construction, and merchandise at Hollywood Studios!
Hollywood Studios Food Updates
Pixar Place
Startin’ off right with the food! We spotted a sign up at The Market at Pixar Place that noted the location was selling hot dogs and chips for $9.50. This snack kiosk doesn’t usually have any full meal options but it’s semi normal to see hot dogs pop up at smaller dining locations on bigger crowd days. And, boy, was this a bigger crowd day! More on that later. 😊
Grand Avenue
BaseLine Tap House was also affected by the influx of people in Hollywood Studios! They were out of a few of their beers and their cider option. According to a Cast Member, the shortage was due to the big crowds and all of the options would be in stock soon.
Hollywood Studios Construction Updates
Moving on to construction, we spotted this new construction area just before the ticketing windows at the entrance to the park! We’re not sure what kind of changes this barrier is hiding, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated!
Remember we mentioned crowds? Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was POPPIN’! We’re thinking this is one of the most crowded times that we’ve seen in the Batuu area of the park since it opened a few months ago.
Case in point: the Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run line was out of the building, past the Millenium Falcon, in front of Oga’s Cantina, and alllll the way down to First Order Cargo near the Milk Stand. WILD! When we took a picture, the wait was listed as 100 minutes.
There was even a line at Kat Saka’s Kettle and there seems to NEVER be a line at Kat Saka’s! They only have TWO popcorn options and people were waiting in a pretty long line.
Hollywood Studios Merchandise Updates
Escaping the crowds, we can check out some of the merch in the park. At Celebrity 5 & 10 we spotted this pretty Mermaid Tail Cup for 22.99!

There’s also some completed Skyliner Displays in the windows at Mickey’s of Hollywood. The merchandise has been there for a while, but they added adorable animated screens that make it look like the gondolas in the display are moving. Plus, the displays feature some of our fave Disney pals!
And lastly, we have a mysterious update out of Galaxy’s Edge. Our sources confirm that the DIY Baby Yoda is not really there anymore. The Yoda doll was still hanging out but he wasn’t swaddled up like Baby Yoda anymore. Maybe it’s to show that Baby Yoda is maturing in the series? Or maybe Disney wanted to save the hype for when they release a Baby Yoda toy of their own? Who knows!!
Aaaaand, that’s a wrap! We’ll let you know what else we find next time we hit the streets of Hollywood Studios.

WE KNOW DISNEY.
YOU CAN, TOO.
Have you ever seen Galaxy’s Edge that crowded? Let us know in the comments!
Probably what happened with that Yoda is that some cast member put it up there originally and the powers above came in and put the kibosh on it.
