It looks like Epcot’s Electric Umbrella might not be folding up as soon as we’d originally thought!

And while the rest of Future World is undergoing heavy construction right now, it seems the much-loved quick-service restaurant has escaped the chopping block — at least, for now!

The Electric Umbrella’s website had led us to believe the fast-casual restaurant would be shutting down this winter as part of Epcot’s exciting transformation. You can see the forboding message below which appears in bright red lettering!

Previously, the Electric Umbrella didn’t show any hours past February 2020 — when we originally suspected the restaurant would be closing its doors.

But as of today, hours are now posted through March 2020, with “No Times Available” starting on April 1st, seemingly postponing Electric Umbrella’s uncertain fate.

We could see these dates fluctuate more as time goes on, but for now, it looks like Electric Umbrella devotees are being given a little bit more time to say goodbye to this long-time Epcot establishment!  We’ll keep you updated with any more Electric Umbrella news we hear!
