Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Magic Kingdom!
And, we’ve got lots of merchandise, food, and construction updates to share with you, so let’s dive right on in!
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Main Street, U.S.A.
City Hall is getting refurbished to look as spiffy as ever at the entrance to Magic Kingdom! And, although the exterior may be closed off, guests can still enter inside.
While we’ve already told you about the themed digital tip boards popping up around Magic Kingdom, we spotted another rootin’ tootin’ Frontierland board! However, it wasn’t in use whenever we were in the parks for the day.
On top of City Hall’s construction, we’re seeing that multiple scrims are being put up around Tomorrowland. While you can spot one at the entrance to the land…
…there’s another closer to Stitch’s Great Escape. Hmm, we can’t help but wonder what space-cial thing will be coming to Tomorrowland soon!
Disney World’s 50th anniversary is in 2021, and the World is celebrating with SO MANY restaurants, attractions, entertainment, merchandise, and more! But, we are especially excited for the opening of the Tron Lightcycle Run in Tomorrowland!
While we’ve previously seen the tracks being built for the coaster, now the construction workers are putting up the walls to enclose the indoor coaster. We can’t wait to travel to the Grid when the Tron ride opens next year!!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Main Street, U.S.A.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and that means all the sweet treats are popping up in the parks for the holiday! And, the fan-favorite Rose Cake Pops have RETURNED to the Main Street Confectionery (and we are sooo happy).
The chocolate cake pop is wrapped with a sour candy belt (to give it that rose petal look) and then covered in white chocolate with red food coloring. We could have a whole bouquet of these bbs!!
While you’re at the Confectionery, you can also pick up the HUGE Valentine’s Rice Krispie Treat that’s being baked up! The sweet is drizzled in icing and red and pink M&M’s for $19.99 (which is a perfect dessert for sharing with your loved ones).
Although we’ve seen Mobile Order at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe before, we happened to notice Bay 1 being used as the pick-up location for the first time to us. The more spots for Mobile Order, the better!!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Main Street, U.S.A.
Over at The Emporium, a brand new merchandise line has been orbiting the store! The Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction Space Collection is finally here for January!

C’est magnifique! The Parisian Minnie Dress has twirled into the parks, looking as romantic as ever!
The pink polka-dotted dress features a Parisian Minnie on the skirt spritzing sweet perfume…
…as well as a sweetheart neckline with a ruched center! This dress is mon amour now!
Disney World is all about happily ever afters. And, you can give your special someone the Disney Parks Mickey and Minnie Collection Earrings! Although they might not be new, they are a fantastic Valentine’s Day gift for $14.99 at Uptown Jewelers. (Maybe you’ll get an actual kiss after you give someone these adorable earrings!)
We’re wishing everyone a year of wealth and prosperity in 2020! And, we’re sure that Mickey and Minnie feel the same way during Lunar New Year!
That’s why the Mickey Lunar New Year Plush (we can’t get over how festive he looks)…
…and the Minnie Lunar New Year Plush are THE most adorable ways to ring in the new year at The Emporium for $29.99 each.
New to us, the Animator’s Collection Tea Set is making a sweet appearance at Big Top Souvenirs (and we’re totally ready for a tea party with our favorite Disney Princesses now).
You can boil up a piping hot cup of tea (with lots of sugar pls)…
…and pour it into one of the dainty teacups…
…all while serving a few macarons (our faves) for $34.99! Who do you want to come to your tea party??
Speaking of lunar, Star Traders has a new Tomorrowland Collection launching in T-minus three, two, NOW!
You can rock your world with the Tomorrowland Long Sleeve…
…or rep one of your favorite rides with the PeopleMover Women’s Tee…
…and the PeopleMover Tee! Paging Mr. Morrow… you’re going to want these shirts!
The Tomorrowland Light and Power Co. also has some of the new 45th Anniversary Collection, like the Carousel of Progress Anniversary Pin…
…and the Space Mountain Anniversary Pin! We only wish we could look as cool as astronaut Mickey tbh.
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at Magic Kingdom! We’ll catch you next time for more food, construction, and merchandise updates!
