Hollywood Studios just updated its FastPass tiers a little over a week ago, but NOW — they’ve gone and done it AGAIN!
That’s because starting today, you can now reserve your FastPasses for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway for when it opens next month!
Earlier this morning, FastPasses for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway became available for dates starting March 4th, 2020 — the new attraction’s opening day! And like we were guessing, it’s a Tier One FastPass joining the ranks of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land’s Slinky Dog Dash!
This means you’ll now face an even more difficult decision for your next Disney World vacation — while last week you had to decide between making FastPasses for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or Slinky Dog Dash, now it’s even tougher with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway all up in the mix!
Which FastPass should you choose — Smugglers Run or Slinky Dog Dash?
If you were originally planning on spending only one day of your vacation at Hollywood Studios — you might want to consider adding a second day to score an additional top tier FastPass! But remember, if you use all three of your FastPasses, you can pop back on to My Disney Experience to snag another one. And you never know, you may get lucky and might be able to get another Tier One FastPass.
And while Hollywood Studios has added Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway to its Tier One FastPasses, the Tier Two FastPass attractions have stayed the same since they were updated last month. Former Tier One rides like Toy Story Mania! and Rock n’ Roller Coaster are still nestled softly into Hollywood Studios’ second-tier — meaning you can book any combination of these attractions without any restrictions — and that’s just how we like ’em!
No word yet on when Rise of the Resistance will begin offering FastPasses but we’re definitely expecting it to be Tier One when it happens! You probably don’t have much time to mull this one over, soooo if you’re really excited about checking out Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway when it debuts, head to your My Disney Experience app and start making those FastPasses NOW!

Went to WDW last month and you’re actually only allowed to get 1 tier one FP in Hollywood studios all day, even after you’ve used your first 3 FPs. Was super sad when we couldn’t get another FP for ToT when there were plenty available.

Not impressed with new change and HS is not worth more than one day ..I dont care how they try to make people go a additional day..for myself it doesnt change my mind..

Just got back last week and HS is definitely a 2 day park if you want to do Galaxies edge. ROR etc. We got there early and bagged a midday boarding pass for ROR which takes the pressure off. Smugglers run can be done with 30mins wait as with TOT. Fast pass Slinky dog(consistently over 100 mins). But if you want to do Fantasmic / Star wars show they were on at the same time so impossible to do both.

The appeal of each of the Disney World Parks is one of personal preference and interests and the members of your traveling group or just you for that matter. I understand the thought behind the tiering system but to block visitors from a second Tier One Pass after using their first three is wrong. So many policies are already hindering access to the attractions and even to the parks themselves. Ticket cost, restrictions on the fast passes, catering to those who are fortunate enough to afford Disney vacation club or staying on the grounds….
give the average person a break! Club membership deserves some perks but simple things like fast pass access is another slap at the regular visitor just trying to enjoy. And if your time there is limited, repeat visits or costly park hoppers just might now be an option. Sorry ,Walt. Here “they” go again deteriorating your original plan .
