On March 27, Disney officials announced that Disneyland Resort will remain closed until “further notice.”
Disney hasn’t provided a timeline for when they expect Disneyland to reopen, but they have stated that Cast Members will continue to be paid through April 18th. If you’re planning on cancelling your Disneyland vacation, you don’t have to wait on the phone!
When Disneyland first announced the closure through the end of March, the only way for guests to refund or change their hotel reservation was by calling The Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5050.
But now, guests can cancel reservations for select Disneyland Resort hotel rooms and Walt Disney Travel Company vacation packages online.
At this time, only guests with a check-in date between March 27th, 2020 and March 31st, 2020 are able to cancel online. However, since Disneyland just announced the extension of the closure today, online cancellations might end up being offered for a larger window of expiration dates.
At this time, tickets will be valid through their stated expiration date.
To cancel their hotel reservation online, guests can visit the Disneyland website here. We’ll continue to provide updates on any future announcements about the Disneyland closure, so stay tuned!
