It was a messy race to the finish line and many cups of plastic cheese were spilled in the process of elimination during rounds one, two, three, four, and FIVE!
But now that we’ve tabulated your final votes, it’s time to announce the BIG WINNER of our Disney Food Blog Counter Service Throwdown! Drum roll, please!
The final results of our last battle might come as a shock to you folks at home who have been following La Catina de San Angel’s on its path of destruction! So far this Mexico pavilion behemoth has been unstoppable, taking out every single one of its quick-service restaurant opponents in an unending reign of terror! That is…UNTIL NOW!
That’s right — the MIGHTY La Cantina de San Angel has FALLEN! That means our winner is Aloha Isle, baby! May the sun shine down on you and your delicious tropical treats forevermore!
In fact, it comes as no surprise that Aloha Isle has been dubbed our champion since they’re the purveyors of the sweet winner from our other Disney World tournament, Snack Madness! You guys sure love Pineapple Dole Whip which beat our 64 other Disney World treats to gain your affections!
Of course, we’d be remiss to not mention the relative newcomer Kakamora Float might have also may have played a part in securing this victory for Aloha Isle as well!
Read our review of the Kakamora Float which debuted at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party before making its way onto the regular menu HERE!
Not sure about you guys, but we’re totally obsessed with these bracket-style tournaments now! That’s why we’re currently cooking up another one with 64 of Disney World’s top table-service restaurants!
But for now, let’s all savor Aloha Isle’s delicious victory! If you’re looking for an especially-tasty way to celebrate, here’s an easy recipe for making a frozen pineapple treat at home!Â

Yay! Are you guys gonna do a table service version?!?
Pleaaase. Keeping doing that. It’s so fun!!!!
Yay for Aloha Isle. Definitely a well deserved win. Really looking forward to the Table-Service Tournament! Thank you DFB.
Nope. Pineapple is not for everyone. Personally I can’t stand it. La Cantina and Flame Tree will always be my top 2
P, coming soon!
Thanks everyone at DFB, you are keeping me sane honesty!
I would love to play along with all this fun, I would love you to find one way for people to play along without having to use social media – just a plain old laptop is about all I can cope with!!! I am a digital immigrant (someone who has migrated into the digital world rather than be born into it!). Help us oldies join the fun we are still young at heart…
You are all AMAZING thanks for continuing 🙂
I love that my fave counter-service spot, Aloha Isle is the winner. Mostly because it brings back such special memories from many years ago. Not only memories of an orange danish that was out-of- this world delicious but also the Orange Bird mascot which remains my favorite character. Thanks for the memories!
I’m honestly shocked that La Cantina made it as far as it did. Then again, a lot of these round picks were weird. *L*
