Recently, we shared that the Disneyland Resort was no longer accepting new hotel bookings before July. Now, it seems that Disney World has followed suit.
As Disney Springs gears up to open on May 20, we’re not currently finding resort reservations for dates before July 1st in Walt Disney World.
Originally, Disney World announced that they would be taking reservations starting June 1st. Now, the earliest date we can book a hotel reservation is July 1st.
When checking the website, we found that we were unable to book any new Disney World Resort hotel reservations through the month of June.
We were, however, able to make reservations for July 1 and beyond.
We will continue to keep you posted as more information is released. At this time, Disney World is also canceling reservations for the week of May 24-May 31, but have yet to cancel any further than that.

Do you have a reservation at Disney World for the month of June? Let us know in the comments below.
WDW Ft Wilderness Campgrounds, June 11 thru 14.
A friend says that they are able to book a DVC resort via the DVC member site for June, at least at this moment
Thank you for keeping us up to date on all the Disney news on re-openings. Good information.
Reservation June 8th- 13th
We rebooked our March 2020 trip to June 28-July 2, but I guess this trip will be canceled too. I’m still disappointed as to how DVC is handling my expiring points too, even though I’ve been trying to use them for months.
We currently have reservations for June 28 through July 8 at All Stars Music resort. We are hopeful but understanding of the potential outcomes.
If they were serious about reopening any time soon there’d be workers there trying to prepare the place for the new requirements. This does not bode well. Our reservations are for July 17th. I’m losing my optimism.
I have a reservation June 12-16. I booked it long before covid 19 existed. Haven’t heard anything about a cancellation. It’s a waiting game at this point.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that people will not be able to go in June. It may just mean that they have already reached the limit for reservations during June.
Boardwalk June 4 – 11
It might be that they plan to keep numbers very low for the first round. This MIGHT actually signal preparations to open in June. When Shanghai Disneyland opened the resort to dated entry, the park tickets for the first day went in minutes! I think Disney recognizes that they can’t offer to let the resorts get booked once they announce the opening, so they are planning ahead. We know they are currently training CMs in new sanitation procedures. It MIGHT mean this is staging the Florida area for a start up with very low attendance.
However, it is much more likely that my June 4-8 booking is about to be cancelled and I’m just TRYING to find a ray of hope…..
I actually modified my current reservations from May 17th to June 21st. The system allowed me to book June 21st through June 25th so I’m in. I even received a confirmation email from them.

Possibly I’ll have to modify this reservation as the dates come closer, but I was able to modify from May 17th to June 21st.
We currently have a reservation for June 29th that we booked back in February.
But we haven’t received a notice that our reservation had been canceled. So what does that mean?
I have reservations for the end of June. Very hopeful that this is part of Disney doing crowd control. I am a Florida resident and annual passholder.
Have a res for June 1 –
June 5th, through DVC
I’m glad that we we there March 5-12 and were able to enjoy Disney the way it was meant to be done, especially the flower and garden show. I can’t imagine going back there until much more is known about the virus and how this whole pandemic is going to alter “normal life”.
We had a reservation starting June 1st, we just changed it to September. Was told by a friend’s travel agent that they were to start cancelling June Disney vacations. I hope we didn’t make a mistake by doing so, being DVC members maybe we could have kept the reservation and been treated to a much more quiet park.
I have also noticed that you can’t look up bookings for dates in 2021, which makes me wonder what the plans are going to be long term…are these unavailable because they will be allowing those that already booked and need to rebook the first opportunity and/or DVC members to book first?
Hi all, just because you have a reservation or the system allowed you to cancel and rebook does not mean it will be honored We were booked in March, cancelled and rebooked till May 27 thru June 3 and I have not heard anything about it being cancelled. I called Disney yesterday, May 9, and cast member advised me they are looking at reservations 1 week in advance, she said my arrival date of May 27, means that it will be cancelled May 20. She mentioned they have a system in place and they are addressing 5k reservations per day and if I do not hear anything on May 20 I can expect to on May 21. Hope this information is helpful to many as I see alot of reservations mentioned for June/July and based on that….expect to hear from Disney 7 days prior. Be Well, Stay Healthy…
The cabins 7Jun-11Jun2920
Reservations June 27-July 8. 1st time back to Disney in 30 yrs. Just myself and my 9yr old granddaughter. Hoping to be able to experience the whole Disney experience, ie fireworks, parades. However at this point doubtful /safety. Probably best to postpone trip till next year.😥
Joe, I reached out to Disney about this to confirm: online reservations aren’t released until later in the year before the travel (so for travel in 2020, online reservations opened in June 2019), but you can book 500 days in advance by calling Disney to make your reservation.
I have a reservation for June 1-5 at Pop Century. This is our 3rd rebook, was scheduled to be there March 15 and then May 10. Fingers crossed!!!
We have reservations at the Yacht Club June 6 – June 16th. I spoke with Disney Travel yesterday and they said as of right now the travel is still scheduled however they have up to 7-10 days to notify us of a cancellation. She also indicated that they may not be accepting any more travel reservations for June due to the capacity levels which will now, be far less, than they normally are during this time of year. We are keeping our fingers crossed. If the travel is not cancelled I think it would be interesting to see what protocols are now going to be in place. Be well everyone!
I just received an email that our reservation is cancelled. Booo
So, I took a look at the Boardwalk resort and they’ve got a notice on their booking site, “Temporarily closed until July 30.” That being said, August is the earliest that any of the hotels are gonna be opened. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g34515-d120250-Reviews-Disney_s_BoardWalk_Inn-Orlando_Florida.html
