To say the past few months have been a unique challenge for us all would be an understatement. In times like these, a lot of people turn to the magic of Disney to bring a little bit of joy into their lives.
We’ve come up with some fun ways to incorporate more Disney into your daily life, without having to leave your home! We hope these seven suggestions help you get through the rest of 2020, and beyond!
Finish those Disney+ watch lists!
There is clearly NO shortage of content on Disney+! You can rewatch your favorite Disney films or discover something completely new. Disney has also helped make sure our watch list stays fully stocked by releasing lists of suggested content, whether that list is inspired by the Disney parks, or it includes films inspired by holidays like Earth Day!
If you’re looking for a way to kick back and relax, nothing beats popping some popcorn and spending hours on Disney+. There’s no easier way to embrace the Disney magic!

Stock your kitchen with ALL the Disney food!
If you’re looking to become a “little chef” like Remy from Ratatouille, there are plenty of ways to bring Disney magic into your kitchen. We have countless recipes here on DFB where you can recreate some of your favorite park dishes and snacks, including the Monte Cristo Sandwich from Cafe Orleans in Disneyland, churros, Dole Whip, and Tonga Toast from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
Not up for cooking this evening? There are plenty of Disney treats that you can get at your local grocery store! We wrote about some of our favorite treats, like Mickey Premium Bars and even Disneyland churros that you can find at your local stores!
Disney food is obviously our favorite thing to talk about, so when we learn about any opportunity to bring that into our homes, we’re gonna do it!

Enroll in your very own “Disney Academy”
Ready to head back to school? Create your own Disney curriculum with some of the free learning tools we’ve discovered over the past few months! One of our favorites was Imagineering in a Box, where you can learn all about what it takes to become a Disney Imagineer! Pixar in a Box was another online tool that we found super interesting.
Disney+ has loads of educational content, from documentaries like The Imagineering Story to National Geographic programming too.

Craft until you can’t craft anymore!
There’s something incredibly “zen” about arts and crafts. Whether you’re looking for some quiet time while the kids color in their coloring books, or you want to focus on an artistic task yourself (perhaps with a glass of wine in your hand while you do so!), crafting can be super relaxing.
We’ve been coming up with several different Disney-inspired crafts and activities for the whole family while you spend more time at home. While you’re creating, turn on some Disney music and create your own little artistic Disney oasis! We had ideas for how to make your own scratch-n-sniff stickers, DIY Shrinky Dinks, and more!

Transform your home into a Disney retreat
Why not incorporate a little more Disney magic into your home? There are some easy ways to do this! You can start by painting the walls of that room you’ve been meaning to paint in your favorite Disney-inspired color! For something maybe a little less “permanent,” why not try to re-create your favorite Disney attraction in your living room?
You can even take your transformation outside with a Disney-themed playhouse! Dream big; the sky is the limit!

Throw a giant Disney party!
Sometimes the best medicine is to just throw a massive Disney party! Over the past couple of months we’ve shared fun ideas on how to incorporate Disney into your at-home birthday party or backyard barbecue party.
You don’t need a reason to throw a party! You can even transform your home into a “Tropical Hideaway” and throw yourself a little tiki soiree!

Plan your next Disney World vacation!
At the end of the day, nothing beats a vacation to Walt Disney World. And while the parks may look a little different for the time being, that doesn’t mean the magic is gone!
We all know that PLANNING a trip to Disney World is half the fun! And as always, the magic that comes out of a Disney vacation is entirely based on what YOU make of the trip! Don’t follow any bad trip planning advice and do your research ahead of time! As always, you can pick up a DFB Guide that will be FULL of useful information to help you plan your next trip.

Paul Alter says
A few of my nerdy friends & I had a trip planned to Disneyland in early May mostly to just geek out at Galaxy’s Edge. Alas, it was not to be. So on the dates we were to be there I made a huge spread of Galaxy’s Edge foods: Polystarch Portion Bread (really don’t recommend that one!), Ronto Wrap with all the fixin’s, Gurreck Gravy and Emul Sauce, Fried Endorian Tip-Yip, Chadian Dressing, and both Blue and Green milk!
It was AWESOME!
And just for fun, a week later made Gaston’s Tavern Cinnamon Rolls. Total sugar coma, and worth every bite!
