When the Disney World parks reopen later this month, guests will need to make a reservation in order to enter.
This will be managed using the new Disney Park Pass reservation system, which allows guests to select a reservation for one theme park per day. There is a set amount of availability each day for Disney Resort guests, guests with regular theme park tickets, and Annual Passholders.
And given the limited ability for each group of guests, there is a chance that you might not end up with your first choice. But, if that’s the case, don’t give up — we’ve noticed that availability has popped up for dates which were previously listed as full!
For example, here’s a screenshot of the July availability for Disney Resort guests as of a few days ago. When this screenshot was taken some parks had already reached capacity on July 17th.
But, as of this morning, there is availability at all four parks for Disney Resort guests on July 17th.
So, if you find yourself unable to secure a reservation for your first choice of park, be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Park Pass calendar since we’ve seen availability pop up for days that were previously full!

Thanks for a great blog, always very informative.
Since we can’t park hop anymore, what does Disney do about the people who have paid for park hopper tickets?
Thank you
PF, here’s what Disney says about Park Hoppers: “At this time, Guests will only be able to visit one park per day. If you have a ticket that includes the Park Hopper Option or Park Hopper Plus Option, we have several options available to you:
Ticket Extension: You may use your current date-based ticket by September 26, 2021 with the existing add-on options, should the options return by that date.
Ticket Modification: Resort Packages with tickets may be modified or cancelled. To discuss your options, please call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) W-DISNEY or (407) 934-7639, or contact your travel professional.
Ticket Cancellation: If you do not want to use your ticket, you also have the option of cancelling your ticket or package. To discuss your options, please call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 566-4985, or contact your travel professional.”
