Disney World desserts are a thing of beauty. There are not a lot of things we can think of that warm our hearts the way that a tasty sweet treat at the parks does. And with all of the desserts we’ve tried over the years, there are a few snacks we keep coming back to time and time again. One of our favorites? Pies. Specifically: TINY PIES.
These bite-sized circles of pure joy can be found throughout the theme parks if you really go looking for them, but we’re always wishing Disney could add MORE to their menus! So enjoy this ode to the beloved tiny pie, and why we hope Disney considers bringing more of them to the parks and resorts. Buckle in guys, we’re going on a TINY PIE adventure!
Some of our Disney World Faves
We’ve recently tried a few of these bb pies at the parks and resorts, including the tiny Blueberry Pie at the grand opening of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.
Can everyone stop and appreciate how CUTE this is? IT’S A BABY PIE! With lattice and everything! While our hearts are over here melting just looking at this treat, we know it also TASTED phenomenal. Fresh blueberry filling was unique compared to many Disney snacks. It was sweet, but not TOO sweet. It was also stinkin’ adorable. We can’t think of many things as appropriate to any celebration as a tiny picture-perfect pie would be, and this one was a winner in our books!

Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort is an excellent go-to if you’re on the hunt for tiny pies. Their Seasonal Pies have rotated flavors since the earliest years, so you can never be quite sure of what version will be available next time you visit!
On our most recent visit, it was a yummy apple pie! And we’ve also loved the blueberry peach seasonal pie. SWOON.
Next, we’ve always been obsessed with the mini pies you can score at Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe for a LONG while now. They come in chocolate silk and mango (our favorite).
We love these so much that when a reader tipped us off to finding something verrrrry similar at her Publix grocery store, we hunted some noticeably similar ones down at our local Kroger!
After some investigating, we discovered that Kenny’s is indeed where Yak and Yeti gets their tiny pies! So these days, when some of us are postponing our Disney World vacations, it’s nice to know that we can still find small “slices” of happiness at our local stores!

We love tiny pies at Disneyland, too!
We also wouldn’t mind seeing more tiny pies arrive on the West Coast, too! (FACT: tiny pie love is bi-coastal.) Disney California Adventure’s Food and Wine Festival brought us some memorable favorites, like this Fresh California Berry Pie.
Peep that hidden Mickey!
For fans of savory pies, the 2019 Festival of the Holidays at California Adventure featured a Plant-Based Shepherd’s Upside Down Pie!
Come ON…a Mickey-shaped puff pastry? It’s like shepherd’s pie but leveled UP! These festivals have been marvelous opportunities to sink into a delicious pie, but we won’t lie, we’d like to see some of these pies stay in the parks for more than just a few weeks!

Reasons Disney should give us more tiny pies:
Now that we’ve shared just a few of our favorites over the years, let’s recap the reason WHY Disney needs to seriously consider adding more tiny pies to their menus ASAP:
1. They’re tiny.
The best things about tiny pies are exactly that…they’re tiny! A bite-sized snack is just as delicious as its full-size counterpart, with perhaps just a little less guilt.
A perfect example is the American Apple Pie that we recently spotted at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. It can literally fit in the palm of our hand, but it’s packed with all the flavor of a regular pie (festive sprinkles help too!). Tiny pie just tastes better. It’s science. 😉

2. There are endless flavor possibilities.
It’s almost as if you can think of a flavor of pie for every letter of the alphabet. There’s apple, pumpkin, chocolate, mango, key lime, pecan, lemon meringue, blueberry…we think you get the idea!
And who can forget this year’s Peanut Butter 4th of July Pie from Contempo Cafe? Yes, this is our long-standing FAV-OR-ITE tiny pie in all of Disney World (ever, forever) with a little makeover to celebrate America’s b-day! This epic PB tiny pie is in the bakery case at Contempo every day of the year, though, so don’t miss it!

3. You can also add savory pies to the mix!
Tiny pies don’t always have to be “just desserts.” Savory pies are also right up our alley, with just as many flavor possibilities: Chicken Pot Pie, Shepherd’s Pie, Fisherman’s Pie…
…speaking of Fisherman’s Pie, this year’s EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is once again serving up the famed Irish favorite Seafood Fisherman’s Pie.

In summation: pie=GOOD. TINY pie=BETTER! Nothing makes our hearts sing quite like a tiny pie. Whenever we spot a new one, we gotta try it! So, let’s get some more of these cuties on your menus, Disney! Let’s just say, it’s as easy as pie!

You are so right about tiny pies. And you should say it.
Yes to more pies please!
Gotten tired of the “Instagram worthy” cupcakes for everything. Some pies would be a great addition and offer more flavor ranges.
